Fat Ron Posted 28 November 2007 Posted 28 November 2007 Not so sure this one was a great career move.. New Sheep Sh*ggers boss
Micky Ruddle Posted 28 November 2007 Posted 28 November 2007 Derby's going down, they're going down, they're going down, they're going....
Darkzzz_ Posted 28 November 2007 Posted 28 November 2007 Bad move for him, shows lack of ambition really!! I know they are in the Prem, but they wont be come end of the season!! He is a good manager but in my opinion this is a bad move.... He will have a real challenge on his hands now and i really hope he does not make me eat my own words cos i want Derby to go down obviously!!
MPH Posted 28 November 2007 Posted 28 November 2007 hmm... intresting. He is in a win win situation, really. If they get relegated then he can say he isnt to blame because he inherited a team bottom of the table. and if they stay up he is their savior. Good appointment by Derby
Joe. Posted 28 November 2007 Posted 28 November 2007 Bastard! That's a great appointment for the Sheep. Don't think he'll be able to improve a lot to be honest though.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 28 November 2007 Posted 28 November 2007 He's claiming that he's not been ill, but unless I'm having yet another malarial dream he's aged loads in the time that he's been away if that picture on the BBC website is anything to go by. Perhaps they got him at a bad moment. I know he was linked with Bolton, but was he actually approached? I'd find it hard to believe that he'd turn that down and then go to Derby. Perhaps the Trotters really really did want Megson. It's a funny old game
Tommy G Posted 28 November 2007 Posted 28 November 2007 How old is he?? He looks about 70 in that photo!
Maybes Posted 28 November 2007 Posted 28 November 2007 Oh this is sick. Even he cant save them so. . .
Staf Posted 28 November 2007 Posted 28 November 2007 Big mistake they have 2 maybe 3 premiership players in my opinion and they are Miller, Barnes, Oakley and thats it cant see why he has gone there
Maybes Posted 28 November 2007 Posted 28 November 2007 Big mistake they have 2 maybe 3 premiership players in my opinion and they are Miller, Barnes, Oakley and thats it cant see why he has gone there As someone else said. If he keeps them up he looks like a god. If not they will throw some cash at him in the championship
Staf Posted 28 November 2007 Posted 28 November 2007 As someone else said. If he keeps them up he looks like a god. If not they will throw some cash at him in the championship Good point but actually i just cant see why he wants to waste his time if i was him i would rather play golf
Mark Posted 28 November 2007 Posted 28 November 2007 I thought he'd end up there, total lack of ambition from Jewell. I think since he went to Sheffield Wednesday and failed (a club with expections) he's taken the easy option and gone to places where he could only have success, just making a fight of staying in the Premiership now and he'll have another success to put to his name.
Simi Posted 28 November 2007 Posted 28 November 2007 Their chairman has admitted that Ince was first choice!
Blue Bob Posted 28 November 2007 Posted 28 November 2007 What is amazing he was second choice behind Paul Ince who wasnt given permission!!! Poor move for Jewell as Derby are likely to go down and he might suffer next season if players decide to leave. Much depends how much he gets to spend in January. The sheep must be delighted!!!! Lucky B@rstards!!!

DB11 Posted 28 November 2007 Posted 28 November 2007 Why the hell did he go there? Such a backwards move... YES EVEN FROM UNEMPLOYMENT!
Raikkonen Posted 28 November 2007 Posted 28 November 2007 Good appointment for them, but there is no way they will survive and then they will fight to stay in the championship. Like they have been for years.
