Fat Ron Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 Linkage Not good news, especially with us having to play defenders in midfield already!!!!
Manwell Pablo Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 LinkageNot good news, especially with us having to play defenders in midfield already!!!! It's ok, we signed 16 players in the summer and we have the biggest squad in the Championship, I'm sure a injury to a teenaged midfielder isn't going to cause our squad major problems.
Fox You Forest Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 Maybe now kenton will get his chance more regularly.

Cheese Me Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 How unlucky can one lad be. He's like Lee Morris but good. Get well soon Weso, we need you!
Staf Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 Maybe now kenton will get his chance more regularly. Hopefully, Kenton has been good this year in my opinion and deserves a chance
Thracian Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 LinkageNot good news, especially with us having to play defenders in midfield already!!!! Well, I've warned enough of the risks of hurrying previously injured players back too soon. I hope they're satisfied now. To think we started that match with a fully-fit Andy King on the sidelines. Had we gone with the fit player and used Weso for the last 20 minutes if necessary then maybe Weso would have been a little further on instead of facing six matches missed. When will our managers realise that players cannot just charge back into full-blooded Championship League matches on the back of a few training sorties? That said I really have concerns about Weso's ability to withstand the rigours of constant high class football. I've have often thought he should be returned to full fitness and restricted to one game a week. Some people play and play but others need a gentler, more strategic approach. He'll be missed, no question.
Simi Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 Awful news for us really. This Christmas period is going to be hard enough as it is, now with Weso injured we are really going to struggle to pick up points. Looks like the days of 7 defenders on the pitch at once are not yet completely over.

The thing is, no one at the club cares about your warnings, with all due respect.

I have to disagree there mate, What if Weso had come on and then injured himself in the last 20 minutes with no more subs to use?? If he's declared fit, he starts. If he was unfit however then the risk should not have been taken.
Tommy G Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 It will hopefully give King a good un in the side now
FilboFox Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 Injury prone isn't he... Could do with a full season for once to really bed into the team setup... shame its not this season.
Thracian Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 The thing is, no one at the club cares about your warnings, with all due respect. They shouldn't need such warnings anyway.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 That said I really have concerns about Weso's ability to withstand the rigours of constant high class football. I can't believe davieG is going to let this one go.
Thracian Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 It will hopefully give King a good un in the side now Maybe. Unless Holloway goes for Maybury this week in midfield alongside Kenton and the inevitable Clemence! Or perhaps even Hellings. He's not had a go yet!

Sods Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 Oh dear. Not that long till christmas though. Unfortunately but fortunately.
Hullfox Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 Had we gone with the fit player and used Weso for the last 20 minutes if necessary then maybe Weso would have been a little further on instead of facing six matches missed. And if my aunt had bollocks she'd be my uncle.

There would probably have been no need to use him as our last sub and I think it would have been a lot easier to have earmarked him for the last 20 minutes rather than expect him to go for 60 from the start - and hope he didn't break down. Being keen to return I am sure Weso convinced himself and people around him that he was fit and so he probably was if he'd only needed to jog to the paper shop. As I say, competitive football is a different matter altogther when it comes to finding out if you're really fit.

EDIT : I notice the smilies come in...

Thracian Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 And if my aunt had bollocks she'd be my uncle. If your aunt had bollocks she'd probably be in our team.
The People's Hero Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 Sooner we ship Weso out the better.
Hullfox Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 If your aunt had bollocks she'd probably be in our team. Of course she wouldn't. She isn't one of Holloways chosen men.
