Asha Posted 18 December 2007 Posted 18 December 2007 Whats the verdict ?? Hope you are loving him, we are coping quite well Merry Christmas And a crappy new year
Bellend Sebastian Posted 18 December 2007 Posted 18 December 2007 He seems like a lovely man. We're crap, but we were crap before he came so I cannot really hold him responsible for that. I won't be making any judgements until he signs his own team. I'm sure you're thrilled that Leicester have decided that trying to prise away members of your playing squad is more hassle than it's worth. Merry Christmas, and I do actually mean that
DB11 Posted 18 December 2007 Posted 18 December 2007 Nice to see Plymouth fans are no longer sour about us taking your manager

onetruefox Posted 18 December 2007 Posted 18 December 2007 Cant believe how bitter you fooking bumpkins are.Youve got Sturrock now,hes done wonders for your club before.why do you keep going on about Ollie.
PAFC Posted 18 December 2007 Author Posted 18 December 2007 Nice to see Plymouth fans are no longer sour about us taking your manager Oh we are, but there isnt much point in me shouting off about it on your forum, would be a waste of time. Cant believe how bitter you fooking bumpkins are.Youve got Sturrock now,hes done wonders for your club before.why do you keep going on about Ollie. It wasnt bitter, it was a question, no hatred, a general wondering.

Ok,results have been shite,as you well know. But stating the obvious we will have to see what happens during and after the transfer window. If we are no better, then Milan will get rid,we will probably end up with Sturrock
Simi Posted 18 December 2007 Posted 18 December 2007 When will these plymouth fans leave us alone? I don't know mate. But for now... Do you have anything to say to the fans?

Losing to West Brom is hardly a bad result, and most of the others were away from home. Including beating Brizzle ( ) .
Maybes Posted 18 December 2007 Posted 18 December 2007 I don't know mate. But for now...Do you have anything to say to the fans? Yeah I would just keep the faith

PAFC Posted 18 December 2007 Author Posted 18 December 2007 Yeah but were are no good at home so away form has to be good. How can losing a game not be a bad result? Because West Brom are an awesome team, if you expected to win that, then you expect to much.
Zingari Posted 18 December 2007 Posted 18 December 2007 Whats the verdict ?? Hope you are loving him, we are coping quite well Merry Christmas a plea of insanity has just been lodged
onetruefox Posted 18 December 2007 Posted 18 December 2007 Because West Brom are an awesome team, if you expected to win that, then you expect to much. You have hit it on the head mate.We do expect to much. But LCFC are under achieving by a countrymile. We do expect to be going for promotion, not piddling about at the wrong end of the 2nd Division.
Maybes Posted 18 December 2007 Posted 18 December 2007 Because West Brom are an awesome team, if you expected to win that, then you expect to much. Yes they are a good team with promotion credentials. However losing a game is a bad result. I didnt expect to get anything from it however. (Pretty similiar to most matches we play these days )
Foxhateram Posted 18 December 2007 Posted 18 December 2007 Because West Brom are an awesome team, if you expected to win that, then you expect to much. Haha if you lot want to make it the top of this league you need to stop respecting teams like that. No team in this league is unbeatable, and no team in this league shows a gulf in calss over the rest. Yes Brom are on a good run, but most teams in this league are verty much of the same average standard. There just needs to be more beleif and passion. Stuff all thsi bloody spend spend spend malarky its B*ll what you really need in this league is a team that has the ability to grit tehre tyeeth and get stuck in. Showing a bit of passion and commitment to there club and team mates. Look at Reading no one had heard of half there team when they went up, infact it was a major suprise to me, and they are even doing alright in the prem now! thanks to there manager who has installed that needed grit and passion that is required. i repeat a phrase that has always kept me going. My friend who is now unfortunatly resting in peace due to a bad car crash. Said to our team at HT (We were losing the match 3-0, and the team were walking away with the league) He said to us "Anything is possible if you put enough passion, commitment, beleif and energy into it" we went on to win that game 4-3. since that day i have taken that phrase to heart and it is that that gets me through not only tough times in my life. But also when im not getting into the current squad at football, i think of that phrase everything training session and it is that phrase that keeps me going. It is also that phrase that keeps the team i manage going when they are losing 5-0, i said it to them at HT and we went onto win the match 6-5 and win the tournament. A real decent manager will get his current crop of players playing well. Not Put them down and say they are not good enough. Football is a game of skill. and with the right coaching you increase that skill in players, and you can increase there confidence which leads them onto playing much better, and makes them play better as a team. IH has adressed this, and i agree that a few new faces will help to bring the other players along and breed that team confidence that is desperatly required. But we dont want an overhaul! this wont help anyone in my view I respect IH he knows what he is talking about, and i beleive he knows what is needed in january. Iving in the soutwest atm isn not fun with all you flaming plymouth supporters slating me and my team, but i live to beleive that IH will turn this mess around. he is the only manager that has come in and given an hoenst assesment, and told us his plans to fix it. I think he is here for the long term and i can see us doing well in a few years time. But its going to take time to sort this club out, its an utter mess!! However it is not impossble for us to use the current crop of players, its just going to take time and professionalism to make them a real team.
Thracian Posted 18 December 2007 Posted 18 December 2007 Because West Brom are an awesome team, if you expected to win that, then you expect to much. Awesome? West Brom are dead ordinary. We've only got a handful of reasonable players yet lost by one goal and might easily have stolen a point. I've seen Leicester sides than would have hit six past that West Brom side - and been cruising second half.
Babylon Posted 18 December 2007 Posted 18 December 2007 Whats the verdict ?? Hope you are loving him, we are coping quite well Merry Christmas The verdict is you are the most bitter fans I've ever known.

Mate, they were missing 9 first teamers. They had a makeshift defence. A keeper who made his debut that day, and yet they beat us quite comfortably. And don't forget the ref gifted us a goal that should never had stood in a million years. West Brom are by FAR the best team in this division. And the football they play is awesome.

WetFlannel Posted 18 December 2007 Posted 18 December 2007 You're easily pleased, pal. i can see why after having to put up with our performances
Koke Posted 18 December 2007 Posted 18 December 2007 You're easily pleased, pal. Its not about being easily pleased. Its about facing reality. West Brom beat us with virtually fringe players. Maybe that says more about how poor we are rather than how good they are. Matter of opinion that is.
PAFC Posted 18 December 2007 Author Posted 18 December 2007 Ok, well I take my leave for now. I will be back on early February in advance of our game. Merry Christmas
