Finchy Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 Don't know about you lot but i for one cannot wait!! 1 hour 25 minutes!!!!!!! Anyone watching it tonight? Think it will be as good a The Office xmas specials?
Simi Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 I shall be watching now, cheers for the reminder.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 Won't be as good as the The office x-mas speical because the office was better and David Brent was alot more funnier. Still should be class though.

hebangsthedrums Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 I think i'll plump for the shark attack thing on channel 4, never was a massive fan of extras
WetFlannel Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 I think i'll plump for the shark attack thing on channel 4, never was a massive fan of extras Oh Yeh!!!! Forgot about that... thanks
Stuliasz Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 I'll be watching. I think Extras is an underrated piece of genius that everyone would be talking about had The Office not preceded it. Hopefully tonight will be a fitting climax.
Finchy Posted 27 December 2007 Author Posted 27 December 2007 I thought it was brilliant, on a par with the office xmas specials IMO.
purpleronnie Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 No where near as good as the office, watchable thats about it.
syston_fox Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 Im slightly disappointed by it actually. No where near as good as the series was. I felt they were trying to fit to much into the hour and a half and there was nowhere near enough stuff with Barry and the agent!!
lildave3 Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 I thought that was pretty good. Didn't make me laugh as much as the series did though. I agree that the agent is the best bit of it, pure genius.
Head Honcho Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 8/10 for me. Some great bits mixed with some not so great bits The Gordon Ramsey bit was brilliant though
Libertine Posted 28 December 2007 Posted 28 December 2007 The second series was dreadful, but this was decent.
Flynny Posted 28 December 2007 Posted 28 December 2007 I thought it was absolutely perfect. It was a good standalone story with funny bits thrown in really, but the story itself was more than good enough to carry the show which lets the humour work on its own. I loved June Sarpong claiming she still had her dignity and then the birdy song thing happening. Possibly my favourite part.
Finchy Posted 28 December 2007 Author Posted 28 December 2007 I loved the racist estate agent and Dean Gaffney was brilliant. Also i thought Ricky was brilliant in it, he proved that he is actually a really good actor. His acting in that rant he went on in the Big Brother house was as good as when he begged for his job back in the Office.
The Stig Posted 28 December 2007 Posted 28 December 2007 Extras was brilliant tonight, without the chemistry between Barry and Darren the show would be know where near as good. Shaun Williamson and Dean Gaffeny were brilliant last night.

Shaun Williamson and Dean Gaffeny were brilliant last night. True. Thats why I preferred the second season, they got more screen time. Lamb is my favourite character on the show by a mile. "Whats happened here then?" "I think we both know what's happened here don't we? I've tried to jump the barrier, and thats not quite panned out as I'd hoped".

purpleronnie Posted 28 December 2007 Posted 28 December 2007 How can it be brilliant when the best 2 characters were hardly in it? ricky tries to bring a bit more depth into this show but its fundamentally a comedy and there wasn't too many laughs in the special.
