filbertway Posted 4 August 2004 Posted 4 August 2004 If its high i hope mickey has accepted, please please be true.
filbertway Posted 4 August 2004 Author Posted 4 August 2004 Not just that, it will give us chance to get in another good player either now or in january.
Guest Guest Posted 4 August 2004 Posted 4 August 2004 I think that in the fizzy league we are not limited to now or January so if someone got injured or just did not perform it would allow us to bring someone in. It depends on the size of the bid but I'd be sorry to see him go, in the right position he could, and did, do well in this league but as his contract runs out at the end of the season we may as well get money for him now if it's a good offer.
gloucesterfox Posted 4 August 2004 Posted 4 August 2004 Woops, the guest was me I thought this PC logged me in automatically, but obviously not!
Hullfox Posted 4 August 2004 Posted 4 August 2004 As I've said before, I'm a supporter of Scowy but if the money is right, we have to let him go. I cannot see how I can support charging kids £6 for a photo if we don't accept good bids for players nearing the end of their contracts. What's the right figure though bearing in mind he'll be a high earner? The money will have to be used to Mickey's budget too.
Pele Posted 4 August 2004 Posted 4 August 2004 Yer but who can we get in ?? Because Leicester cant attract big players
Pele Posted 4 August 2004 Posted 4 August 2004 Not just that, it will give us chance to get in another good player either now or in january. you said we can get new good players in But like who ??
dhermon Posted 4 August 2004 Posted 4 August 2004 i read somewhere that we would want $2 mil but if an offer was made formally i reckon 750k to 1.5 mill
Pele Posted 4 August 2004 Posted 4 August 2004 2 million he aint worth 1 million i think We would do well if we get 750k for him
filbertway Posted 4 August 2004 Author Posted 4 August 2004 Nigel worthngton would probably use scowcroft better and get the best out of him, so would rate him as a £1,000,000 player. I dont know who we should get, thats what mickey is paid for.
Pele Posted 4 August 2004 Posted 4 August 2004 I hope he dont get anoher flop like hignett yer but we have peter conearo to play there and makin right back
Guest Posted 4 August 2004 Posted 4 August 2004 Yer but who can we get in ??Because Leicester cant attract big players Are you saying Scowcroft's a 'big player'? He has his uses, but he's not even a major star here! Well, to a few maybe....
Guest Guest Posted 4 August 2004 Posted 4 August 2004 I hope he dont get anoher flop like hignett yer but we have peter conearo to play there and makin right back Some special spelling there

Fox 4 Life Posted 4 August 2004 Posted 4 August 2004 If its high i hope mickey has accepted, please please be true. Where did you hear this? it aint on the os
Ricey Posted 4 August 2004 Posted 4 August 2004 If the bid is over £500k I think it should be accepted, however I would be happy for him to stay as he is decent at this level. Hopefully then Micky will buy a right winger who is actually quick and can cross.
Cat Burger Posted 4 August 2004 Posted 4 August 2004 We've got Gillespie and Canero, I don't think we need another winger. We should get another attacking central midfielder, provided we don't get Gemmill.

Oli Posted 4 August 2004 Posted 4 August 2004 Accept 1million for him, nothing less i say. He could make us more than 500k next season if he scores some goals. But it hink 1million is to goood to turn down for him.

But it hink 1million is to goood to turn down for him. agree, if he goes lets get partridge on loan, tie up gemmil contract, and make a bid for reo-coker with add ons if we go up.
Vestan Pance Posted 4 August 2004 Posted 4 August 2004 The reason we are asking for £2M is that as Scowy has 1 year left on his contract, if he moves to Norwich he will be on a lower wage than he is now. This would mean he would demand that Leicester pay the difference in his lost wages, probably about £500,000. He would also be entitled to a loyalty bonus being as he never asked for the transfer, I think that is about 20%? of the total fee. His agent would also demand a fee. We don't want to take a loss on a player who performed so badly last season.
