Nielsen looking for a way out...

Jimmy has been a pure professionel during this whole experience. He never moaned, and when told to find a new club, he did so as well. Jimmy is a solid keeper in the best division in Denmark, but his strengths are shot stopping, and not control of the area. He has always flapped at crosses. In this division, which is fast and furious, control of the area is a must for a good keeper.

I don't know if you are related to Jimmy or something Brez, but you have to be honest. Leicester was wrong for Jimmy, and Jimmy was wrong for Leicester, so we all have to move on.

All the best to Jimmy though.....

Well said.

Expect Nielsen to be out soon.

Reports in Danish media suggest, that he has settled an agreement with Leicester, and he has already agreed a contract with a Danish club (Vejle).

I can confirm that... I wonder how much he was on and how much of his remaining contract we're paying up. All these contract terminations must surely be hollowing (no pun intended) out the transfer budget for this window or the next...

He really isn't as awful as has been made out. On the other hand, Danish club football really hasn't got much to brag about. Apart from the occasional big talent and some succesful foreign imports, the standard is quite poor...

TBH i feel sad for Jimmy, not a fan of his old club (AaB), he played 400 games straight in the Danish Superleague, 390 of those at high standard. i'm hearing how he's only a good shotstopper, but having seen him in a decade he has always impressed me, i've always seen him as a complete package.

His time in Leicester has been a bummer since day 1, sure he gets a good salery, but in the interviews i've seen and read since he joined the foxes he has seemed down. He always stated his dream was to play in a foreign league, and seing his dream getting shot down and put in the reserves right away, might have influenced his level of game.

And i agree with shen, he isn't really as awful as has been made out.

It's a fair point. It's another strange chapter in the bizarre management of this club since Mandaric came in. I think now is a time for clean starts all around and I think Jimmy will be best off elsewhere. But when you put it like that it is a shame that it never worked out.

i dont think its Casinos fault he was signed via DVD or YouTube and then when he dropped a cross in the reserve game at Hinckley Allen decided thats it he's out. im sure he tried his best but if he wasn't being supported by Allen then its just tough luck on him.

good luck to him in Danishland, hoping he gets many more appearances for AaB or whatever.

Coming to Leicester? Seems the gamble didn't pay off for him.

Latest reports say that the deal with Vejle is "99% certain". They only need to receive the formal piece of paper that Nielsens contract has been cancelled. The article says it's likely to happen this weekend.

I saw a kid walking round in Leeds in a city goalkeeper's top with Nielsen on the back. After about 17 double-takes I absolutely pissed myself.

:o How odd he never played a game
