Samilktray Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 Nussul, did you actually cry when Hamilton won? Glad someone asked this.
Asha Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 Nussul, did you actually cry when Hamilton won? I wasn't crying. I have hayfever, and so my eyes were watering. However I do sort of feel like someone's ripped a part of me out and made a trophy out of it, and every Hamilton fan in turn is lifting it up in front of me... Fair enough though, I was a tw*t last year
Sparky Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 What's so good about car racing If you havnt got anything good to say then why post ??

Asha Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 You're a die hard Ferrari fan i assume then. why are you a fan of Ferrari anyway? From when I was very small (mid 90s). Liked the red car for some reason. It's grown more and more every year and has stuck really.

The Stig Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 Lewis Hammilton is truly an awe inspiring racing driver. Well done. Over the course of the year he deserved it, however, so did Massa. He had a great season and both would have been unlucky not to win it. I like Massa and wish him luck next year, a true sportsman. ROLL ON 2009.
Darkzzz_ Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 Wow.... What a finale. So pleased that Hamilton won it, I am gutted for Massa a little as well, he has raced so well this season, I don't think he deserves to be laughed at. Put yourself in his shoes, I would be heart broken, He was won the most races this season and still didn't win the title. Fair play to Lewis, he done what he had to do. Lucky git will have a great night with a certain excited pussy cat.
Brainy Posted 2 November 2008 Author Posted 2 November 2008 I was almost crying when Hamilton passed Glock and headed up the hill. He was the new World Champion for about 55 laps, but to be overtaken with 2 laps left, memories of 07 started flooding back. It was rather odd though seeing someone like Hamilton struggle for grip in the wet. Can't wait to watch the highlights later. I could probably watch it over and over again. Even if I was a neutral, i'd have absolutely hated to see Hamilton finish 6th, which would have meant Massa won the WC on race wins. Don't forget that one of Massa's race 'wins' was at Spa where he crossed the line second to Hamilton. He deserved it though. I don't care how consistent Kubica was, or how unlucky Massa has been, Hamilton has more points that anybody else. Just don't put me through all this shit next year. Petition
Asha Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 I was almost crying when Hamilton passed Glock and headed up the hill. Passion. It's not just me then.
Brainy Posted 2 November 2008 Author Posted 2 November 2008 Passion. It's not just me then. The excitement/uncertainty got the better of me. .. and I forgot the rest of my batracer runs because of it It'd be good to see Glock's final lap though.. what went wrong?
Asha Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 The excitement/uncertainty got the better of me. .. and I forgot the rest of my batracer runs because of it It'd be good to see Glock's final lap though.. what went wrong? He was the only one on slicks. Took a gamble, didn't pay off. In regards to Batracer, it didn't make a difference.
Brainy Posted 2 November 2008 Author Posted 2 November 2008 He was the only one on slicks. Took a gamble, didn't pay off.In regards to Batracer, it didn't make a difference. Well yeah I knew that, but Allen said that he was 15 seconds up the road (on the last lap I think??) Spin?
Asha Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 Well yeah I knew that, but Allen said that he was 15 seconds up the road (on the last lap I think??)Spin? Maybe. I was more concerned with the Hamilton/Vettel situation. I suppose being 15 seconds a lap off the pace on dry tyres in full wet conditions isn't totally unbelievable. Also, a notable career for David Coulthard. Felt sorry for him in his final race to crash out on corner 2. Rumours that he's going to be part of the commentary team for the BBC next year.
Wycombe Fox Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 Massa looked pretty broken in the post-race interview but I thought he was very dignified in defeat. He must have gone through a lot of emotions as well over the last few laps. All in all a good championship (apart from the inconsistent stewarding at some races) and roll-on 2009. Hard to say who will be battling for the title next season due to all the changes but I'd like to see Honda be a lot more competitive.
