Joe. Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 I wasn't crying.I have hayfever, and so my eyes were watering. I feel like someone's ripped a part of me out and made a trophy about it, and every Hamilton fan in turn is lifting it up in front of me.

Nugent Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 Maybe. I was more concerned with the Hamilton/Vettel situation. I suppose being 15 seconds a lap off the pace on dry tyres in full wet conditions isn't totally unbelievable. Also, a notable career for David Coulthard. Felt sorry for him in his final race to crash out on corner 2. Rumours that he's going to be part of the commentary team for the BBC next year. David Coulthard.
lildave3 Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008            Since when did you even like F1?
Asha Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 Since when did you even like F1? I'm guessing since about 7pm. Same applies for a lot on here.
Joe. Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 Since when did you even like F1? Have I claimed I have? I don't particularly. But I do look out for the results most weeks.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 Topped Murray-Nadal at the US Open for me. Breathtaking sport.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 Great race, feel for Massa in a way, having thought he'd won it. I like him, unlike certain drivers which I don't seem to, the likes of Alonso and Raikonnen. Can't warm to them no matter how good they might be on the track.
dandannieldanok Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 Brilliant end to a fantastic championship, I didn't mind who won because in their own way they both deserved it. You've gotta love the Interlagos weather.
Joe. Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 Bloody hell, I even get the inclination to watch the highlights of this later on ITV! EDIT: Sorry, had to pull this from somebody's sig
GLC Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 Bloody hell, I even get the inclination to watch the highlights of this later on ITV! im gonna record them , my mate wants to watch it
Brainy Posted 2 November 2008 Author Posted 2 November 2008 I wouldn't actually believe he'd won the WC until I saw 'Ham' at #5 on the side at the end. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0D63WnBwYWs

Asha Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 Putting the Ferrari decorations away till March. Still gutted after a long season for it to come down to the last 10 seconds. Come on lads, win it next year.
Jimmy Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 Driver of the year: Lewis Hamilton Car of the year: Toro Roso Most improved driver: Felipe Massa Rookie of the year: Timo Glock Surprise of the year: Vettel's win Best Race: German GP Worst Race: French Comic moment: Ferrari pit lane antics Overtake: Lewis' two overtakes at Hockenheim Comeback: Alonso finding form for two race victories.
Wycombe Fox Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 Driver of the year: Lewis HamiltonCar of the year: Toro Roso Most improved driver: Felipe Massa Rookie of the year: Timo Glock Surprise of the year: Vettel's win Best Race: German GP Worst Race: French Comic moment: Ferrari pit lane antics Overtake: Lewis' two overtakes at Hockenheim Comeback: Alonso finding form for two race victories. Can't argue with any of that! I would like to add 'Worst Impersonation of an F1 Car'...and the award goes to Honda.
potter3 Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 Can't argue with any of that!I would like to add 'Worst Impersonation of an F1 Car'...and the award goes to Honda. Still managed to embarrass itself by catching fire after the race had finished
Wycombe Fox Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 Still managed to embarrass itself by catching fire after the race had finished Best thing for it! Nobody hurried to put it out. A classic case of "I wouldn't p*ss on you if you were on fire!"
Fosse Boy Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 When they panned the camera to the Ferrari pit and they just froze, it was probably the TV moment of the year. Well done Lewis!
Floating Fox Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 Breathtaking. Thats why you love sport. Its so ****ing unpredictable. Even when it looks dead and burried. I saw Glock before Brundle spotted him, I was shouting at the TV. Couldn't believe it. Nearly had my in tears if i'm honest. Same as when Button won at Hungary for his first win, obviously a much bigger result, but everyone likes Button more! This sport has become so much better since Ferrari/Schui domination. Can't wait for next year without any adverts either.
Tommeh Posted 3 November 2008 Posted 3 November 2008 well that was. Bloody remarkable, well done lewis. Gutted I couldn't watch the race live and was determined not to find out the result until the highlights but I turn my ipod off for 1 minute of a car journey and at 9pm on the radio headlines there it was. Epic ending and amazing win, just wish I'd have been screaming at the tele and going through the emotions like the rest of you!

DC calling Massa a little shit was pretty comical in Australia. Worst race - Valencia. Best - the last few laps probably make the Brazilian GP the best. Perhaps even Singapore just for the spectactle. Massa overtaking two cars at the hairpin in Canada was pretty special too.
The Stig Posted 3 November 2008 Posted 3 November 2008 Shivers down the spine watching that again. What a way to end the ITV years. It was quite unbelieveable. I love Football, but yesterday was a thrill that only one sport can ever provide.I am in love with Formula 1 more than I've ever been and can't wait for next year. It's so good to see Formula 1 being portrayed in such a positive light. In the early 00's when Schumacher was dominating race after race all F1 got was critisism. It was a boring sport apparantly. Well to anyone who said that, try and call these last few years boring. F1 is the greatest sport in the world.
Uncle Albert Posted 3 November 2008 Posted 3 November 2008 Watching it was amazing, when Vettel done Hamilton I was so pissed off. Then when the commentator's screamed "That's Glock!" that's when I got shiver's down my spine. I must admit I hardly watch the F1 but look out for Lewis, it was truely incredible. Well done young Sir.
