I'd like to be proved wrong but I can't see him helping LH at all in Brazil. Ideally he needs to put in a strong Q3 performance and start second behind LH so that he can be 'rear gunner'.

HK has 'gone missing' too often this season.

HK out, Button in.

Button's in danger of missing the boat as far as a decent drive is concerned. Apart from cash (and a contract) is there any other reason to persist with Honda?

Brazil will be LH's second race on the same engine. Both Ferrari's get a new engine. Does anyone know whether HK gets a new engine for Brazil?

Is Button actually any good? I've never been impressed by him and surely the Honda can't be that bad...

No free engine changes for the last race. He stopped because of his brakes I think.

A year ago I wanted Button in but not anymore.

I don't really think anybody (who could realistically join) will be any better than Kovalainen next year. Getting a new driver will just put McLaren back square one again.

Ross Brawn is now running Honda, from next season you will start to see his influence on them, they will be a force to be reckoned with in the next year or 2

I think they'll be front runners by 2010, when the car designs are changed.

the last two or three years I've thought of him as a very good driver in a very bad car. I can't remember which year it was, probably about 4 or 5 years ago, but Button and Honda were very competitive for a couple of seasons and taking podium places and competing with Michael Schumacher on a regular basis. Then all of a sudden the car became a complete dog. I don't believe that Button became a bad driver in between seasons.

What I can't get my head around is why JB stays at Honda. They haven't delivered a car commensurate with his ability, in my opinion, and yet he's still there. There have been comments coming out of Brackley for three or four years about this package, that package etc etc but nothing has changed - the car is still a brick on wheels. I would be massively disappointed if it was purely for the cash.

After such a good start at Williams, his career has gradually drifted towards the back of the grid, which for me, is very disappointing. I would love to see JB partnering LH at McLaren but it probably won't happen.

I really hope so. Unashamedly, I'm a big Jenson Button fan and would love to see him near the front of the pack rather than pottering around at the rear. However we seem to have heard 'just wait until next season' regarding Honda for at least a couple of seasons now and nothing has improved.

What are the rule changes for next year?

I suggest you look at the FIA home page for the spec as the list of changes is rather large! Basically though there can be no "add-ons" on the car, i.e none of the flaps and bits on the body work. The downforce is being created by front/rear wing and the shape of the body work only.

The front wing is wider next year to go fully across the width of the car while the rear wing is half the width but twice the height kinda thing.

No doubt though there will be loopholes found by teams and after the first few races the cars will start to look quite samely i think.

Cars for 09

They won't look anything like that but its as close as you can get until christmas. Going to be interesting to see who reveals their cars first and how late they leave it

Does anyone else think Kovalainen is practically useless? Not been impressed by him at all this season.

He's really unlucky

Spain- Suspension failure when leading

Turkey- Puncture- Would have won

Britain- Fastest in every dry session but wet race

Japan- Retired when at the front

China- Puncture

Could easily have another 20 points

Not useless, just not as quick as Hamilton or the Ferrari's (which I suppose is pretty useless lol:doh:)

I'd love to see Button get a good drive like McLaren, BMW or Ferrari.

I don't think he was leading at Spain on merit.

Turkey I doubt he would have won at all.

You could probably add Singapore to that list though, his first lap collision with Kubica.

The thing is with Jenson Button is that he had his chance in 2002 with Renault, but was constantly outpaced. He's now a better driver than then, smooth consistant and gets the best out of an awful inconsistant car. It would be a risk for a top team to look at him, but I feel it would pay off.

I was surpirsed when Mclaren went for Hekki at the start of the season. He was average at Renault last year and has been disapointing this year. If we'd had seen more consistancy from him Mclaren would undoubtedly be in a better constructors championship position. Personally I wouldn't go for Hekki next year. I'd go for Nico Rosberg or Mark Webber.

As for Lewis, I'm not a huge fan, but he is a excellent driver. He went in to the race with totally the right attitude, rose above his critics and drove a near perfect drive. He is an amazingly quick driver, but he does need to use his head a little bit more at times. He will naturally do that when he gains experience. There is bad news for all those haters out there. Yes he can be arrogant, yes he winds people up at times, but he's here to stay and he will undoubtedly be a multi world champion as he will improve.

Well looking at last year Mclaren didnt have a lot of choice, Rosberg was choice one but he couldn't do it. They choose someone willing to be number 2 and just happy to still be in F1. I don't think he is good enough for a Mclaren drive though but at the time that was the best they could get.

I am an Anti-Hamilton but alas i must agree with you, he is good and will win multiple world crowns.

Latest F1 rumour is 2010 could see the end of refuelling during races, still have pit stops for tyres for no more re fueling

What is it about Lewis Hamilton that makes you anti-Hamilton?

Not asking in a critical way, just curious.

Why? Your mean other than because he is a d**k cheese whose arrogance is worse than that of M.S.

I don't want him to fail, i just hate him, it's also a good judge of the sports followers, you find his fans are all new and just Hamilton fans and those that dislike him have been fans for many many many years before he came into the sport.

Would a nice guy really dump his long term girlfriend because it would be to difficult to be apart then go anf have his way with the pussy cat dolls gal, who lets be fair, is gonna be away more than his girlfriend would have!!!!!

Don't get me wrong he has had some brilliant races but i don't want to watch England play football and hear about him, i don't want every news article on F1 to compare to him or every article on non sports to somehow relate back to him, i don't want to hear all about his dad. i want to watch F1 as a fan and enjoy the racing, not hear his name every other sentance.

Lewis Hamiliton is a B*ll**d in my opionion. Let the abuse begin!

Prays his engine blows on the last lap and loses it all on the last race....again.
