To be honest, i think with hindsight, the MA appointment is what started a long chain of mistakes. We can't afford to make another managerial change. I dont think we will go down, but even if we do i'd be inclind to stick with Ollie. He got QPR out of that league with less resources, and we just cant afford to keep destabilising the club that way.

Its all too easy to blame managers, distruptive side and unbalance throughout the club, yet covscum were in a dire situation themselves and have just turned over one of the prems most established and best sides 4 **** 1! We don't have the quality to achieve promotion this season or the next(unless we do some serious business in the summer) but we do have the quality to survive, and beat teams like southampton, all day long. The players need to pull their fingers out but we need to show support for whatever shite we field and the manager. I was at the brum home game at the end of last season and we never stopped singing throughout the whole game, even though we lost, i believe support like that helps troubled teams survive! So in a way this is a rallying cry, bring your singing voices down with you on saturday and bring on the covscumshite, with the passion and support we great fans show, even if only 10% rubs on the players, we'll be a different side and we'll be rewarded with 3 points. :scarf:

The players who Martin Allen signed are disgraceful!!

The players we already had were disgraceful!!

Next year when Holloways preparing for a season in league 1 he will do alright but it will be to late!!

I am usually optimistic but we are going down and I need to hide from all the Forest and Coventry fans tommorow.

We have been sh!t for a long, long time. But this seaspn at least, when are people going to start recognising that every manager we have had has strugled with this group of players. All of the managers we have had this season, whatever your opinions on them, have track records of getting teams promoted and leaving them in better positions than the one in which they found them. Its the players. And i dont believe that they dont try. Its one of my pet hates, people saying that players arent trying. I cant believe that they go out not wanting to win. They're just shite.

Are you serious???

Absolutely serious. Allen brought in a load of shite. Like i said, I dont think we are going down. But if we do, is the best idea really to make yet another change, destabilise the club yet again? I think that would only continue the downward spiral. Holloway needs a pre season of his own here, Simple as.

We may aswell have just stuck with Martin Allen. It would be a justified sacking if we stuck with the next manager he got for at least a season but he hasn't. Now looking back sacking MA after that 4-1 win seems unbelieveable. However bad the players he signed at least he got that result and may have got more.

The MA sacking seems to have started a long chain of mistakes at the club this season.

Sadly if results dont start to improve in the next 8 league games or so, actually sticking with Holloway could turn out to be the final mistake and we may go down.

I would give him another couple of months and if we are still down there in or very near the zone we may have to make another change.

Get over Martin Allen, he is the reason we find ourselves in this current shambles :frusty::frusty:

I just cant believe we havent signed some sort of creative midfielder yet, that is what we are crying out for. 2 of them probably. We have a winger now, we are supposedly getting another one, we need a bit of class. And we need to spend to get that sort of player.

Ollie needs to pull his finger out, we need to get these players in, we dont need strikers.

And to be honest Olie hasn't attempting to build for the future i.e. signing old and fat strikers ...

Wouldn't have minded if ithe old one was Windass..... unfortunately Ollie only knew Fatass

The transfer window has been open for 5 days. He will bring in wingers. And a creative midfielder. But also, we shouldnt let other clubs ramp the price up just because they know we have money. Although paying out large amounts is the lesser of two evils.

truth is we are in trouble and Holloway is out of his depth. The players are not good enough. The so called senior pros are a disgrace and the youngsters are and never have been as good as people on here think they are.

We cant help it, clubs will up the price, becuase theyve obviously seen how bad our sorry excuse for a midfield is.

We have 1 central midfielder that is consistently fit in the whole squad.

I have forgotten about him but if we were going to bring in Megson, then push him away, then Burrows and let him leave and now Holloway, we may as well have just stuck with the first manager we had, who was there for pre season. We couldn't possibly be in a worser position than we are now if we had stuck with him, but thats in the past now.

Our last hope for this season was the Fa Cup and now thats gone so this season is 100% over.

Am i going to get excited next pre season, no. :frusty:

I can asure you, holloway has prob spent every waking minute on the phone trying to bring in the quality we so desperatly need, yet, almost every player he is trying to sign will have 3 or 4 other clubs fighting for his signature and flashing just as much, or possibly more cash than we do! were only 5 days into the window, give the man time, he will bring in quality. Howard is an excellant signing, and with the right service, will score plenty of goals. We shouldn't dash the signing of hayles either, although questionable, he's alot better than fryatt in my opinion and will prob score more goals.

Im as frustrated as every1 else. I hate seeing my club in this position. But there are people, not necessarily posters in these threads, who seem to believe that we have a divine right to be in the top flight. Traditionally we are a yo-yo club, too good for this league, not good enough for the top level. There are a whole host of clubs of similar size or predicament who believe that thay should be where we want to be. One of them beat us today. But football these days is more fluid outside of the Big Four than it ever has been, with new money alloowing the likes of Wigan, Reading, Bolton, Fulham, Middlesbrough, Birmingham etc to overtake us. All of those ckubs with the possible exception of Fulham are traditionally smaller than us. But tradition counts for bugger all in these financially rich days. And we, as City fans, are just going to have to sit tight, support our team, and manager until out turn comes. It will. Football is cyclical. Personally, i thiink Ollie is the right man for the job, he was my first choice. I might be wrong, time will tell. But either way, i want the best for him, cus he wants the best for himself, which is to make this cllub a success again.
