Holloway and Leicester in trouble

Mourinho.... Ferguson... Capello none of them could polish the turds that we currently have at this club fans calling for Holloways head are the fans that will constantly hold this club back!!

it's a great idea to just ged rid of players but it doesn't work like that to pay up the contracts of some of these buffoons would not doubt cost us close to £2million!!! if the 8players are on say £5k per week and I know the likes of Douglas and Devries are on close to double that.

we are in a shit situation but you can't just change managers every 2months it just doesn't work the top 2 teams in the country who have been at their clubs well over 10 years!!

the squad Ollie has inherited is terrible, we know that he knows that and he is going out to stop that the recruitment in the summer by Allen was diabolical and has left us totally exposed we have no midfield, a shite goalkeeper, overated strikers like Fryatt whos return is nothing short of pathetic!

This might stir a hornets nest but i have never been a big admirer of this manager, yes he got plymouth upto 7th but that wont set the world alight.

Today he played 4 strikers changed the formation 5 times in the first half most of the players did not whether they were coming or going.

And i see on teletext tonight he has given the defenders a bollicking for conceeding goals against set pieces.

I cant see this manager realising MM dream of getting city into the premership within 3 years.

So if i was MM [ASSUMING HE IS EXTRA WEALTHY ] i would pay him [OLLY] off go and get one the best young managers in the country, CV done well at motherwell, preston, and got derby promoted to the PREM on a ltd budget and he wont cost a penny STEP FORWARD BILLY DAVIES or if milan wanted to wait a couple of weeks try SAM ALLARDYCE. :scarf:

Big Sam would have a heart attack brought on by yelling within a week, Billy Davies would be a good manager but much as it irks me to say it you cant really judge Ollie untill he has screwed you up with his own players.

Would rather you stayed up as I guarantee a full Home Park if he brings you down here, and nice to have a bit of football needle with a team other than Bristol Shi**y.

At long last someone who knows what football is all about, not some so called little school boy who calls for the managers head each time we lose.

Get a life you lot, we will get through this, maybe not this season but we will just watch and see. :scarf::scarf::scarf::clap:

truth is we are in trouble and Holloway is out of his depth. The players are not good enough. The so called senior pros are a disgrace and the youngsters are and never have been as good as people on here think they are.

At last someone agrees that the young players at city are not that good, some are crap they dont seem able to control the bal what the fook to they teac them in the academy.

Actually we get on alright with pretty much every body really, Hate Bristol though, actually quite like you lot  because of the mighty Lineker one of my favourite players of all time I think, and for highlighting MON(future England manager, Hopefully)

The academy kids were obviously good in their age group, otherwise they wouldn't have won the Premier League title!

Why do so few of them seem able to make the step up to senior level?

Holloway may have got rid of many of the fringe players, but the cancer at the club clearly runs a lot deeper than that.

A lot more of the deadwood needs to go, otherwise Groundhog Day is NEVER going to end.

We are seriously struggling and i cant see Ollie turning it around. I think it will take a few months for the new signings to even settle in. The current squad of players just aren't good enough and i can see us going down.

I rekon Milans patience may run out if we are beaten comfortably at home to Cov next week

That's exactly the point though. They are good in their age group. What percentage of youth players go on to make it at their original clubs? The sad truth is that though ours have done well at their level they are not that good. If they were we would have premier league clubs sniffing around like southampton did with Bale and Walcott both of whom are and were much better than anything we have at a similar age.

You're right about the deadwood. For me there are less than 5 players at the club who are of sufficient quality to take the club even halfway up this league.

Holloway is our longest serving manager all season. We have had 1 really good result in all those games away at Bristol City and since then apart from 1 good home win we have done nothing. He continues to play players out of position when he would be better off playing academy players. I mean Fryatt left midfield hes bad enough up front. The one good thing about Leicester was our defence and that seems to have crumbled in recent matches, and with Fulop back at Sunderland now it has been made even worse. Holloway can't be motivating the players to play or they would be winning more games. Our so called better players, Hume Kisnorbo and Wesolowski have even been poor recently. He has signed players Howard and Hayles which is the only positive but they still are yet to score. Its a big gamble signing that Hungarian. He could turn out to be another Kaebi Djezri or Hellings.

Now we are 2-0 down at half time to a team who only have 3 points from their previous 5 league matches and just lost 3-1 to a team lower than us in the table. The only good thing about this season was how we raised our game for the cup and it looks like 2000 Leicester fans who travelled for hours to the game will return disappointed today in the cup.

These are disappointing times for Leicester City and poor times for Ian Holloway so far. Will he turn it around? We will have to wait and see, but after just surviving relegation in previous seasons i can see us going down this time.

its not the manager. the players we have had for the past 2-3 years are not good enough. these guys are included.

hume is majorly inconsistent anyway and wesolowski is injured all the time. he cant be depended upon and we need a midfielder to play instead of him.

hayles and howard have played only 2 games. time?

Everyone knows the players are not good enough what needs explaining is how they are doing worse under Holloway than almost everyone else and I'm not just talking results.

I'm not advocation sacking Holloway what I want him to do is to stop whinging and get the best out of these players which he patently isn't doing!

Like most people I think that any change of manager it this point in time would not help matters.

We need a long term appointment that will bring stability to the club, so let's keep Ollie for the next 3+ years.

The big problem as most fans agree is the poor standard of players that we have.

The other main problem is how the hell do you motivate players that go and lose most of the games or at worst draw when they know we could have won?

How about bringing a sports psychologist into the setup to help give the players some confidence.

Anything that helps to improve squad moral will do, in fact let's take em all to the Half Time Orange or something to cheer the miserable shower up!!

Hi. i see your point, but will you be of the same opinion if we get relegated, next weeks match with cov will be a very, very important game for the club

What's your point? :dunno::unsure:

Just let him sign his team, most of which will happen in the summer, and see how we do next season.

We're no longer a big club... we've as much chance as getting promoted as any other lower league Championship side

I take it you would be happy if they got relegated-thats the point

How much longer do the fans have to put up with this dross?? 'Keep the bloody faith?' how long for? Southampton are a very poor side but have so far made us look like bloody amateurs - I watched some of the videos of the 90's earlier today (play-off finals etc) and the current side is worlds apart - I feel like crying xxxxxxxxx

from what i've seen-all mandaric has done so far is take a wage out of city-wher are his millions and when is he going to spend them???

Nearly 1 month on and Ollie has turned it around.

Im still dreaming of the play offs.

We are only 10 points behind you know ;););)

Lets not get carried away, we still don't have the best squad in the world. However I never for a minute and still don't doubt that he is the man to take us up.

Let's just get behind Holloway and the players. I didnt think Holloway was the right man for the job but im not going to say he should be sacked im just going to support him and have faith in his abilities. One thing to say though is that Walshy wouldnt look like a bad appoinment now.

And you were doing so well! :D

..and still only 4 points from the drop zone. It's way too early to say the manager has turned anything around.

The unbeaten run needs to stretch to at least ten games before anyone can mention the playoffs.
