breadandcheese Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 shocking manager and shocking players he is bringing into the club,a 35 year old and year old,he is clueless. Get Holloway out before he wrecks this club! Worst manager ever to manage Leicester City! Nothing like a well-thought out, well-argued and reasoned post is there.

Jon the Hat Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 The problem is how do you motivate a team when it is utterly clear half of them will be replaced in Jan and rest in the summer? If we want the rebuild that the squad is crying out for we have to take the pain. You can't get rid of players without making them available, and your can't sign new players without it impacting the morale of existing ones. I am at a loss as to how anyone thinks a mid season squad clear out could happen any other way.
richy2704 Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 Out of interest how many of your players are linked with moves to other clubs?

Unfortunately he hasn't gone about in very mature and responsible way and he's made it worse by doing a lot of it in public. Having been a manager of 30 plus people possessing both lesser and better skills than I had, some of the stuff he's come out with has made me cringe with embarrassment. In addition it's almost as if the thought of spending money has gone to his head. At the very least he's totally under estimated how difficult its is to buy and sell at this level. He really does need to shut up and work on getting the best out of what he's got and he wont do that by publicly slagging them off, there are many ways to give someone a kick up the arse and he needs to select the right method for each individual. Even if he has got players that feel their future lies elsewhere he needs to demonstrate that they will achieve a better move by performing well for us., and he didn't need to call them rubbish, which is all relative anyway just say you're not what I need. Fook it I'm bored with LCFC management and i guess everyone else is after reading that.
kevinwpratt Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 Out of interest how many of your players are linked with moves to other clubs? None cos they are playing shit....... But of course that is Holloway's fault

davieG Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 Out of interest how many of your players are linked with moves to other clubs? Recently only Stearman to Villa for a million but the majority think it's bollocks and he's not worth a cup of tea.
CaptainClemence Posted 5 January 2008 Author Posted 5 January 2008 Have we signed Bori yet? him and zsolt could be the answer to our midfield problems? And the problem is we have no midfield, our main midfielder is Clemence and hes been useless so far.
CaptainClemence Posted 5 January 2008 Author Posted 5 January 2008 Haven't seen what Holloway has had to say yet. Did he do an interview on radio Leicester anyone hear it?

LeeCovFox Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 Yeah around 40, duno exactly though. Our problem is Allen bought a lot of crap, added to previous seasons crap and Ollie is the poor bugger who has to rebuild. In fairness to the bloke hes the only boss who has actually made any committment to rebuilding and its gonna take a while. How did your lot do today? I honestly havent seen, im not takin the p!ss if u have lost. Frankly im in no position to.

I am half in agreement - but what we are doing is picking at a sceptic scab and dabbing it with Savalon when we need to be amputating the leg and fixing on a Steve Austin replacement. There wouldn't be so much of an gnashing and wailing if the rebuilding was taking a form other than a 35 year old has-been.

Yup. Holloway needs to dive str8 in there terminate 10 players contracts and then rebuild by buying 2 or 3 more new players. Kishishev is still out on loan and De Vries. De Vries was good when he was here this season and Kishishev can do a much better job than Fryatt in midfield. I actually hope Hammond comes back from injury and comes good thats how desperate i am now.

We won 3-2, I thought you had alot of loan players cant you just ship them back to where they came from or are they some of your better players?
LeeCovFox Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 Well we had fulop on loan, hes now gone back unfortunately, Collins John is injured right now and other than that weve just signed two Hungarian wingers on loan until the end of the season, both with views to permanent moves. Wingers and creative midfielders is what we lack so sounds likea good move to me. Other than that they are all prmanent as far as im aware.
Tommy G Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 We really, really, really wont go down. If we carry on like this then we will? Everyone laughed at Leeds when it happened to them, the future aint exactly bright, and the future isn't orange...
Sniffer-Clarke Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 We really, really, really wont go down. Many a true word said in jest.

But that isn't going to happen....it's all talk...there's no way those players will be allowed to walk away with their pockets stuffed. That's what really upsets me about our position...veryone, including the manager, is saying what should happen, but noone is actually going to make it happen, including the manager. Forget the yap Ollie! if you think these guys are history, put Milan's money where your mouth is.

I presume MM gave Ollie money but I cant see that he would be happy to pay these guys off to get them off the books,(if thats what you are suggesting)otherwise how are you going to get rid of them if no body wants them?
richy2704 Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 bring back mclintock pleat levien They are to old you will be lucky to get forty five minutes out of them, mind you they might be a couple of years younger than Barry Hayles.
