Thracian Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 I can't see Fryatt going for this tbh!I take it he has to agree to the move Admittedly he's not doing the business here, but a move to Preston would be a move in the wrong direction for him. He should be looking at a top championship club. I'm pretty sure he'll improve greatly as a player when around better players full of confidence. If I honestly thought he'd improve I'd see some sensein keeping him but I don't see his lack of pace, height, strength changing dramatically at his age - and we all know and acknowledge that he's got skill. The big thing that might improve is his decision making and ability to work within a team. Maybe. Either way while I would certainly wish him well, I don't see that he's what we need right now. Howard is clearly going to be one striker and we need fast players around him who move well on and off the ball.

A dozen men in 27 months have been at the helm of this club since Mickey left and not one of them has been able to get us playing as a team on a regular basis. Holloway's job for this season should be survival with a full scale clear out at the end of it. Then and only then will this club be able to progress. Too true my friend.. it will take a MASSIVE change again

He's been given plenty of chances both in the middle and on the left but has failed to deliver. You can go a whole game and not even notice he's playing, Invisible man springs to mind!

I must admit i wondered why West Brom sold him i think you signed a striker yesterday didnt you ? Chris Brown from Norwich would you want another striker or are you in need of strikers?

We only have Mellor, Ormerod and Hawley, of which the last two are shite so we will be signing at least two forwards. Hopefully Fryatt and Brown.

He is a midfielder who was ok for West Brom but as others have said Chaplow is better so why haven't we gone for him. Would've thought we would put more effort into Norris as well.
