Babylon Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 Bright tooMark Blake Franz Carr Ricky Hill Just trying to help Mark Bright is a good one to add to the list. Blake was a right back so he didn't get the stick.
Scow Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 Hayles offers us an strong option upfront, but him and Howard together is not the way forward. Teams will defend high up the pitch as neither have any pace. They are similar players in terms of holding the ball up and bringing others in to play, but it needs to be one or the other - it certainly shouldn't be Hayles. We desperately need some pace in the team, particularly on the flanks and upfront. Hopefully Zsolt will provide that on the left, and we're then able to bring in a striker to play off Howard and someone on the right.
Kilworthfox Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 Mark Bright is a good one to add to the list. Blake was a right back so he didn't get the stick. Still shit tho
Babylon Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 Still shit tho I liked Blakey... hard as nails. They were the days, 360k, our most expensive signing at the time!!!
MikeyT Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 And the other shower of useless excuses for footballers such as McAuley, Kisnorbo and Hume getting away with murder week in week out? Do we not think that by accepting and indeed praising the substandard efforts by those who have failed over the last 3 years is in some way helping keep the malaise at the club?Surely, despite his considered limitations Hayles should be given a fair crack of the whip seeing as the others have been give 3 years or so Agreed, he's played 1 game and a bit, so he should be given a chance. But i have also read on some of these pages about him being criticized for his age, but if he cracks in a few goals or sets a few up, fair play to him. As long as he's got the passion and commitment give him a chance! At this moment in time if he scores 1 or 2 goals it would be good, considering the amount that times our other strikers are hitting the net!
Kilworthfox Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 I liked Blakey... hard as nails. They were the days, 360k, our most expensive signing at the time!!! I was more of a Plateneur man myself! Blakey was part of the 94 playoff Final side so maybe I'm being too harsh! Well Done MB
Bluemoon Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 I can assure you that if Ollie had signed Rooney and Ronaldo there would be some posters on here who would criticise : Absoloutely if they didn't perform.......look at their pay cheques.
Woopsy Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 *** champagne here *** He's old he's bald he's worth his weight in mold Barry Hayles Bary Hayles. Just wait till you see him play regularly, laughing stock of 2008.

Babylon Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 But 2008 has just started, we award that at the end of the year you silly fool. They called a halt to it early as you were such an outstanding candidate. WTF aren't the mods banning these prats?
Woopsy Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 Erm no, I award the final vote. The clown of 2008 has been officially changed from Barry Hayles to you now.

Fez of Mahrez Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 We need a clampdown on all Plymouth fans. If I want to read a load of mentals talk rubbish then I'll go on a Forest messageboard.

Just wait till you see him play regularly, laughing stock of 2008. Your club branded an 35yr old Journeyman striker "Sir Barrington of Hayles", and you call us a laughing stock, we may have a pathetic squad now but at least our legends were good footballers.
Woopsy Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 Like I said I AWARD THE VOTE BABYBOY Like I said you will see Hayles in time. Enjoy it, it's good comedy.
Phube Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 Barton? Is that you?Wind yer neck in, everyone who went slated Hume and the centre-backs got a slating for their performances at QPR. What happened to Barton anyway.... Leicester fans ridicule a black striker, never... oh hang on (Elvis, MDV, Cort, Hayles) Hmmm... Akinbuyi, Benjamin, Lewis etc... But is it their colour or just they happened to be shite... who can tell... Only Ferdinand and to a lesser extent Heskey (I remember people having a go at him too) seemed to avoid it. I do like conspiracy theories!!
Babylon Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 I do like conspiracy theories!! I'm not saying it's that, even if it was I don't think it's intentional. But others do seem to be cut rather more slack!!!

Daggers Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 What happened to Barton anyway.... Check out the Maddy McCann thread - Chundler is bound to have covered it somewhere.
Daz.I Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 Hayles don't know if you have been QPR or Southampton away but I went to both and he hasn't been very good both times,He gets himself in the right position sometimes but his finishing just seems rusty. with a bit more match fitness and shooting practice I think he'll grab us a few scrappy well needed goals.
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 Met Barry Hayles today, spent a bit of time with him. Sound guy.....
Hullfox Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 We need a clampdown on all Plymouth fans. If I want to read a load of mentals talk rubbish then I'll go on a Forest messageboard. I like em. It makes you realise that your own life isn't so bad afterall.
AyewJoking Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 Desperate signing by Ollie. Unless Hayles bags 10 goals or more in the remainder of the season, what is the point? Its like Plymouth told Ollie to stay away from Norris so Ollie said, "Well ok, have you got anything else?"
