Geordie Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 And the other shower of useless excuses for footballers such as McAuley, Kisnorbo and Hume getting away with murder week in week out? Do we not think that by accepting and indeed praising the substandard efforts by those who have failed over the last 3 years is in some way helping keep the malaise at the club? Surely, despite his considered limitations Hayles should be given a fair crack of the whip seeing as the others have been give 3 years or so
ForestFilbert Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 Simply because, being Leicester fans, we demand that a new striker should be scoring hat-tricks every game and making us instantly into promotion material. I agree, why should we criticise Hayles who has been here 5 mins when others have been here so much longer? The fans who get on the back of Hayles are like the media.......sitting there waiting to criticise at any given opportunity. Yes, we can be frustrated with more established players not performing/pulling their weight but not players who have been here for 2 weeks or so.

Eastern Fox Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 Surely, despite his considered limitations Hayles should be given a fair crack of the whip seeing as the others have been give 3 years or so I don't see anyone on this forum singling out Hayles in particular. I don't get the impression he's made a big impact yet, but people are generally frustrated with the whole squad, not him in particular.
Mort Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 Simply because, being Leicester fans, we demand that a new striker should be scoring hat-tricks every game and making us instantly into promotion material. Meanwhile the likes of Fryatt get cheered to the rafters with all the goals they bang in and the consistently excellent displays they provide... wait a sec!

Daggers Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 And the other shower of useless excuses for footballers such as McAuley, Kisnorbo and Hume getting away with murder week in week out? The comments Hayles has drawn are based on the fact that he is symptomatic of a club in free-fall, that the best we could do was to drag almost out of contract, reluctant 35 year olds to the Walkers. Maybe you think that's a good thing? I don't. The other aspect to this is that all signings made in January are meant to offer an instant improvement on the shite that has been here for seasons - otherwise what is the point in signing them?

I know alot of people go over board with their expectations but come on, a 35 years old Barry Hayles. FS.

There is a highly inappropriate joke waiting to be said. Not sure if you're teeing it up but I won't be taking the bait, maybe someone else will.

There were several that came time mind but I declined, i'll leave that for one of the more risqué posters.
