I know iit says to cover Marques's call up to the African nations, but i'm sure even Leeds could afford to buy Kenton. He surely couldnt be worth that much!
Manwell Pablo Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 Great move for Kenton, Leeds is an excellent night out.

MikeyT Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 Great move for Kenton, Leeds is an excellent night out. Is it? Cool, driven through it a couple of times but never actually stopped to take in the night life. May have to give it a go sometime!
Manwell Pablo Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 Is it?Cool, driven through it a couple of times but never actually stopped to take in the night life. May have to give it a go sometime! Best in England I'd say, although I've never been out properly in Newcastle or Liverpool.
Flynny Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 He'd be another limited and unnecessary name off the wage bill. Nothing against him but I have never seen what he's given us that was particularly special. He's hardly ever used either and that's not likely to change. Big squads? Waste of money for clubs like us. He's solidly average and can play across the back 4 and even in midfield if absolutely necessary. He's handy to have about to stick on the bench. Don't see why we've loaned him though. He can't be worth much, we might as well have just sold.
Smudge Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 If McAuley and Kenton go we shall need a new centre back or two.
Smudge Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 Best in England I'd say, although I've never been out properly in Newcastle or Liverpool. Newcastle is the bollix.
Fox in a Box Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 FACT GONE http://www.leedsunited.com/page/NewsroomDe...1211243,00.html Leicester City defender Darren Kenton has joined the club on loan, initially until February 12. Kents On The Move Posted on: Thu 10 Jan 2008 Leicester City defender Darren Kenton has today (Thursday) joined Leeds United for a one-month loan period. The 29-year-old becomes the second City player to leave the Foxes on a temporary deal in the window - with Jonny Hayes joining Northampton Town earlier in the week. Leicester boss Ian Holloway has so far recruited five new players during January - Ben Alnick, Steve Howard, Barry Hayles, Zsolt Laczko and Gabor Bori. Kenton has made six starts for the Foxes this season - his last coming in the 2-0 defeat at the hands of Southampton last weekend. Article continues Advertisement He has taken on a host of roles on the pitch since joining the club in June 2006 - including centre-half, centre-midfield and right-back. His loan move will run until February 12 2008. http://www.lcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Lates...1211256,00.html

Fez of Mahrez Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 Not particularly impressed with this idea to be honest. Considering how big our squad is, we only have three players who have played centre-back at first-team level.
The People's Hero Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 We should be keeping Kenton. He's perfect for the bench - versatile, willing, fit and strong. This is a mistake.

I agree to a certain extent, he's proved to be fairly useful this season with filling in without necessarily being any good. But we do need to clear the dross out and i'd imagine Holloway will make sure we're well stocked in most areas anyway.
