Tommy G Posted 2 February 2008 Posted 2 February 2008 That's the problem. I don't see anything wrong with getting excited about his performance against Cov. I was there. He WAS excellent and I DID get excited about him. But I also have enough about me to realise that a few dodgy games after that game doesn't make him a shit player. Yeah your correct. He isn't a shit player. Supporters will get on their back though because people are inpatient. I just think the massive hype after the Cov game was a bit silly - I could see this kind of thing happening unfortunately
Bluemoon Posted 2 February 2008 Posted 2 February 2008 How fickle.Hes only just come in to this country to play football, and hes also only 21. Its pretty evident he has ability, as he showed against Cov, but dont go expecting miracles of a young lad whos still adapting. Jeez... Well, all I can say is my customers wouldn't be very forgiving if the first product I gave them was poor and I told them I was bedding in and they should stick with me, especially for a price similar to what these guys earn.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 2 February 2008 Posted 2 February 2008 I think the point people are trying to get at James is the fact Lackzo played so well against Cov and has been very poor since. The writing was on the wall after the Cov game - so much expectation surrounded him. People left right and centre putting him in their signature, changing their avaters to a pic of him, saying he's a godlike etc etc. That kind of behaviour is so naive. I'm not getting on the fella's back, at the end of the day he's played one good game and the rest have been wank, disregarding the fact he has only been here a few weeks, it's a fact. I hope he succeeds, but thre is big expectation at this club and people do expect things to happen straight away unfortunately Agree with that
James. Posted 2 February 2008 Posted 2 February 2008 I'm not saying he's crap or great The guy is bob. Hmmm... might want to do a bit of editing if you want anyone to respect what you're saying.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 2 February 2008 Posted 2 February 2008 Hmmm... might want to do a bit of editing if you want anyone to respect what you're saying. Ok i over reacted at first, just pi**ed off about todays game. He was poor today and at Palace and Norwich but was great against Cov. I hope he does come good but we are in a dog fight once again and need players who know this league to get us out. Not players from Eastern Europe who need a good few months to find their feet in this league.

acooling08 Posted 2 February 2008 Author Posted 2 February 2008 That's a fancy radio you've got. I was at the palace game and he was poor. no arguments
evan Posted 2 February 2008 Posted 2 February 2008 The guy looks like a classic winger/flair player and therefore two things are obvious... 1) He's probably a bit of a confidence player and will drift in and out a little but could probably make one run and cross/shot that could win a game... 2) He's hardly going to love these sh1te pitches and freezing blustery weather is he? The LCFC/Palace game was worse than a sunday parks game... He'll be rite
WetFlannel Posted 2 February 2008 Posted 2 February 2008 Well, all I can say is my customers wouldn't be very forgiving if the first product I gave them was poor and I told them I was bedding in and they should stick with me, especially for a price similar to what these guys earn. Just like how many people labelled Vidic and Evra as crap after there first games. Kisnorbo perhaps? The list is endless. It isnt like that at all...
Simi Posted 2 February 2008 Posted 2 February 2008 I was at the palace game and he was poor. no arguments Oh yeah sorry. 1 home match in which the majority of the team were poor.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 2 February 2008 Posted 2 February 2008 Oh yeah sorry. 1 home match in which the majority of the team were poor. Still why did he get taken off today ? Why was he poor at Norwich ? How come he looked so good against Coventry ? Alot of questions but not enough answers.
Master Fox Posted 2 February 2008 Posted 2 February 2008 is it me or is laczko rubbish.great game against cov. sh*t in every other game- sh*t enough to get subbed at half time. Yep, total shite.
WetFlannel Posted 2 February 2008 Posted 2 February 2008 Still why did he get taken off today ? Why was he poor at Norwich ? How come he looked so good against Coventry ? Alot of questions but not enough answers. Hes still adapting... Maybe because hes also only 20 bloody 1? Theres your answer...
Simi Posted 2 February 2008 Posted 2 February 2008 Still why did he get taken off today ? Why was he poor at Norwich ? How come he looked so good against Coventry ? Alot of questions but not enough answers. He looked so good against Coventry because we used him as a wide outlet in a correct way. At Norwich we were vary narrow and this affected him for sure. It all goes down to what system you play. I have no idea why he was taken off today. Let me hear your reasons as to why he's bob.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 2 February 2008 Posted 2 February 2008 Hes still adapting... Maybe because hes also only 20 bloody 1? Theres your answer... Don't many how old you are. Pele was winning the world cup at 17 and scoring 2 in the final. He just looks very lightweight and off the pace but if he can work hard and start to get a feel for the game. Then he could become a good player but we are down at the bottom fighting to stay up.
Micky Ruddle Posted 2 February 2008 Posted 2 February 2008 Apparently, he never looks for the ball, the ball has to go to him. What kind of player is that? But, he hasn't been in England long, so he needs time to adapt.

Because he isn't offering alot down the wing is he ? Last 3 games he has been poor in and maybe the kid is still finding his feet or getting match fit but look at the table. We can't afford that right now.

I'm not saying he has been a hero these past games at all. What solutions do you offer then?
Tommy G Posted 2 February 2008 Posted 2 February 2008 Hes still adapting... Maybe because hes also only 20 bloody 1? Theres your answer... I'm not slating Lackzo but you can't put it down to his age. There are plenty of decent players who are under 21 that shine in modern football and cope perfectly well. I'd say it's down to the style of English football perhaps
Hugo Sanchez Posted 2 February 2008 Posted 2 February 2008 I'm not saying he has been a hero these past games at all. What solutions do you offer then? We bring a winger who knows this league inside out. Take Derby they started going off the pace last year when they had that young lad on the wing. So they brought in Darren Currie and he isn't the best winger in the world but he been there before and played his part with his experince and knowing what to do. There surely must be a winger we can loan untill the end of the season who is a Darren Currie type player.

We've seen what he is capable of, it's up to Ollie to get it out of him. One thing is for sure is he isn't "bob".

Daggers Posted 2 February 2008 Posted 2 February 2008 Fantastic - another dumbass thread started by another dumbass who has not seen the match.

You don't win anything with kids. yes you do. A certain Mr hansen said that and got his fingers burnt. Man Utd did remember? Lackzo is hardley a kid either?
