Dames Posted 24 February 2008 Posted 24 February 2008 I bet that linesman will be recieving a few death threats in the next few days. But well played Spurs they really deserved it.

BigGibbo Posted 24 February 2008 Posted 24 February 2008 Up yours Chelsea, well done Yids you're still shit though!
act smiley Posted 24 February 2008 Posted 24 February 2008 Bit annoyed about this to be honest, simply because the media will now have a nice big wank over Spurs which will make things utterly insufferable. Every Spurs fan I've met has had an utterly insufferable ego and the way the media obsesses over them is ridiculous at best and right now its going to be at its worst. After looking interesting in the semis, the final was a real no-win thing in my eyes.
MC Prussian Posted 24 February 2008 Posted 24 February 2008 BLOODY BRILLIANT!!!I hate Spurs but I am so happy to see someone else win something in this country!! I can't say I hate Spurs but otherwise, I share the sentiment! Well done Tottenham. Finally a team outside the Big Four to win a trophy in this country.
MikeyT Posted 24 February 2008 Posted 24 February 2008 Hahaha! Well done Spurs!! I think Drogba is a great player but for fooks sake stop jumping and rolling all over the floor if someone just breathes on you! P.S. Dont know why i have written this as though he's going to read it!
Darkzzz_ Posted 24 February 2008 Posted 24 February 2008 As i predicted the texts have been going off!! Yes Yes Yes they are saying!!! I quickly reminded them that it was the "mickey mouse" cup as they said to me when we were winning it!! Some people will never learn.....
Mikey Posted 24 February 2008 Posted 24 February 2008 Well done Spurs'. Deserved it as well. Berbatov = Ice Man.
Thracian Posted 24 February 2008 Posted 24 February 2008 Absolutely thrilled. Even when they took the lead Chelsea never wanted to excite and entertain - they were just happy to put two fingers up to the fans and play out the game. Spurs produced a result for football and I hope it's a result that puts them firmly on the road to matching or even perhaps eclipsing their former greatness. "Grumpy" Grant was supposed to be a breath of air after Mourinho and he was - stale air. He got what he deserved.
lildave3 Posted 24 February 2008 Posted 24 February 2008 Well, there's no doubt who was the better side and who deserved to win. Tottenham were better than Chelsea by some distance, they really were. The referee, and both the assistants, handled the game very well and the decision to award the penalty was the right one and a great spot. As for the penalty itself, well, how cool was Berbatov?! Magical stuff. Also, Zokora's reaction to the penalty going in made me feel warm inside . Robinson sort of made up for his poor positioning for the Chelsea goal with a couple of decent saves, but was protected well by his defence, notably King and Woodgate. Something that Cech wasn't for the winner. Nobody tracking Woodgate, allowing him a free run and header, was poor defending. Ok, he got a little fortunate but i'd say he deserved that for not only being brave but attacking the ball well on a quite a few occasions.
