Lovejoy Posted 8 March 2008 Posted 8 March 2008 Rules are simple: 18 pubs/clubs 1 pint (minimum ) at each. Doing one for my mates birthday tonight, anyone else ever tried?

Tommy G Posted 8 March 2008 Posted 8 March 2008 18 pints? thats impressive. You will end up with a beer belly however...
syston_fox Posted 8 March 2008 Posted 8 March 2008 bet you feel a bit rough in the morning.... unless you wake up with a birdie that is (I'll leave it there before we get into the "hole-in-one" type comments!)
General Smuts Posted 9 March 2008 Posted 9 March 2008 Did something similar a while back. 18 pubs different drink at each one. Each sip counted as a shot and we were scored at the end with each pub having a par score set. Par meant the difficulty of drink you were sposed to be downing ie. Par 1 - Shot Par 2 - Single and Mixer Par 3 - Pint Par 4 - Double And Mixer I went round in 19 after a 2 on the first hole, learnt my lesson that you cannae down magners with ice in it. God knows how but we then rolled into a club afterwards which is where my memory stops. I still have 1 plastic golf club left from a set including a caddy, 5 balls, and 3 clubs. Quality night twere. Ill find some pics and rock em out in a minute.
General Smuts Posted 9 March 2008 Posted 9 March 2008 Pic Action ... Already one shot in cos of the damn ice! Some Drinks In Some More Drinks In Many Drinks In (Oh Look Vijay Singh!) Too Many Drinks In In Da Club, Not That I Remember This ...

purpleronnie Posted 9 March 2008 Posted 9 March 2008 A couple of my old workmates used to have 'The 18 pint club' this was only for afternoon sessions. You could only join if you could down 18 pints in one afternoon session. I tried once and failed miserably, although picking Stella as my drink of choice probably want the best idea.

coale39 Posted 9 March 2008 Posted 9 March 2008 2% of pure rancidness! i think you actually get more sober the more you drink Wow anyone who could drink 18 pints of that in one sitting would have to be crazy. I bet its like drinking dirty pot water.
Tommy G Posted 9 March 2008 Posted 9 March 2008 I think that no-one would be able to manage 18 drinks without being Ill, especially pints. Can't really see it as an achievement either, no wonder there is such an issue with binge drinking in this country! Don't get me wrong, I'm a normal 19 yr old lad who likes a drink not someone trying to revoke drinking. I do think it's a bit sad going out to get plastered, regardless of what happens. I used to do it but thankfully I see sense. Perhaps no alcohol related illnesses should be available to be treated on the NHS?
Samu Posted 9 March 2008 Posted 9 March 2008 When I was in New Zealand we were on a tour, and one of my friends there used to play for Wigan rugby league team. He said that as part of one of their drinking events they had a 24 hour drinking session in which they had to drink as many pints as they could. He was a big guy and he said he got to something like 27 pints and that was all he remembers. But some guy in the team (I think his name's Radlinski or something similar) did I think it was 42 pints in the 24 hour session! Crazy

My two friends not only werent ill they never got hangovers (and they had to get up at 4am), some people are just blessed.
Lovejoy Posted 9 March 2008 Author Posted 9 March 2008 Thats quite a mission. And its a minimum?! Good luck to ya. It certainly was . 6 of us managed to last the course out of 16 who started which was fairly impressive I thought . Took us 9 hours which I think is also pretty respectable, but fook me do I feel bad today, and I can't remember anything after 1 in the morning . One guy first threw up after 12 pints, but somehow managed to complete the challenge, although it wasn't his first 18-holer. Also one bar when they found out what we were doing gave us all one on the house, which was very kind I thought .

We have all got to go at some point so theirs no need to worry about ilnesses. Its all about experiances in this world.
samingram_uk Posted 10 March 2008 Posted 10 March 2008 Is there any other 'silly' games like the 18 hole ones??
Tommy G Posted 10 March 2008 Posted 10 March 2008 I saw Tommy G's replies coming a mile off.Go me. Eh? What do you mean. fook that. Not as if you do it every night or even week. Yeh but I would rather live a healthy longer life than be crippled from 35 onwards because I spent my years before that on the razz. it is a serious problem yet people still seem oblivious to it. Personal opinion isn't it
Simi Posted 10 March 2008 Posted 10 March 2008 Eh? What do you mean. I knew you'd post stuff like below in reply to this thread. Ric Flair Posted 11 March 2008 Posted 11 March 2008 Played this many times, been sick most times, which is a 2 stroke penalty. 18 pints is a hell of a lot of ale, drank quickly. I've been known to nail over 20 pints on an all dayer, but at least there's no timescale to putting the booze away, where as this game is just naughty.
