StroudFox Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 I think we will win comfortably and have a very good day or get slaughtered. Am waiting to see what changes Holloway makes to the team. Come on City

Come on City Hopefully Fryatt and DJ up front with Hume playing just behind them. So a sort of 4-3-1-2 formation! Well thats what id try anway!
Thracian Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 I think we will win comfortably and have a very good day or get slaughtered.Am waiting to see what changes Holloway makes to the team. Come on City I wouldn't hold your breath for any drama on team changes. At least changes that will make any material difference. Like Beswick on the left wing. Howard getting dropped. Kingy supporting from central midfield. Or even a system change. He'll carry on believing it will all come good and that there aren't any particular reasons why we're not getting goals that a simple change of luck won't rectify. PS: that's a very ominous "announcement" DavieG.

Certainly agree with that..but what are the chances of it happening!

lookwhaticando Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 On paper it's an unlikely thought - yet my lad's just dashed off to bet on a City win. I think we'll get a draw. Where that will leave Holloway is anybody's guess. Adrift - with the rest of the club.

lookwhaticando Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 ARGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Just realized our clocks went forward, and yours didn't. I could've had an extra hour in bed. Bastards.
Thracian Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 Hopefully Fryatt and DJ up front with Hume playing just behind them. So a sort of 4-3-1-2 formation!Well thats what id try anway! If I did that I use Kingy. He's a better passer. It would keep Hume fresh to come off the bench although I fail to see how you'd make a case for Fryatt over Hume in the first place. Hume is way ahead as top scorer and it's not his fault he's been forced to play on the wing instead of where he belongs. The other problem with that is who provides the forward momentum wide on the left. Clapham won't manage that and I don't think Mattock is up to playing wing-back either. In fact wing-back work will probably be extremely testing against such a prolific attack as West Broms, even for Stearman. I wouldn't object though to a positive 4-5-1 although, with the players we have now, any system has serious flaws.
Flynny Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 Hopefully he sticks Hume up front with Deej. What times the lineup usually?
Raj Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 Depending on todays result/performance,i have a strong feeling that it could be the last game for Mr Holloway. Rightly or wrongly the pressure has been building and depending upon the performance (i think the performance is a bigger factor today than the impending result) he will be gone. We'll see today if the players have a fight in them or if they have accepted League One football for our club (abit like some of our fans have!)
Jack Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 We always seem to win when we are least expected. Im gonna stick my neck out and say we'll come back with all 3 points
Thracian Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 A point at West Brom is a GOOD point. I'd take that before the game. Normally I'd agree but I don't see it helping much in our current predicament.
teblin Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 Why don't we play songs like Everlong at the walkers? Just heard it in the background at the hawthorns. My fave song ever its a sign, I'm clutching at straws.
Raj Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 We always seem to win when we are least expected.Im gonna stick my neck out and say we'll come back with all 3 points That quote is starting to wear abit thin now!!!!
The Reverend Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 I'll say draw. But in reality, we could win or lose.
mmarkie Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 confirmed team: Henderson N'Gotty Kisnorbo Mcauley Stearman Mattock Oakley© Hendrie Fryatt Hayles Howard
Thracian Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 You say that, however the mercury thinks otherwise!Mercury I can't see a single factual announcement in the Mercury report. "Might, may, am considering," it's all wishy washy. It points perhaps to starting with Fryatt or Hayles but that will only be swopping two supposed strikers for two more supposed strikers. Will he start King instead of Oakley? Or Beswick on the left wing? We'll see. Not that I'd necessarily start King unless I went 4-5-1. But I would use him later instead of wasting his time.
Jack Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 I'll say draw. But in reality, we could win or lose. Not much else we could do
davieG Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 confirmed team: Henderson N'Gotty Kisnorbo Mcauley Stearman Mattock Oakley© Hendrie Fryatt Hayles Howard I'm loving all that pace
Pen 3 veteran Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 As we don't expect a win, or a good performance, I'll just be semi happy with a low scoring defeat but we at least score, play well and show some passion to take into games against Hull and Scunny. Oh, and praying for Sheff Wed, Scunny, Colchester, well everyone within 6 points of us to lose (impossible I know as some are playing each other). PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE - COME ON THE CITY!
The Reverend Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 City: Henderson, N'Gotty, Kisnorbo, McAuley, Stearman, Oakley, Fryatt, Hendrie, Mattock, Howard, Hayles. Subs: Campbell, Hume, Wesolowski, Etuhu, Chambers. 5-3-2 written all over it. DEFEND!!!
Uncle Albert Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 confirmed team: Henderson N'Gotty Kisnorbo Mcauley Stearman Mattock Oakley© Hendrie Fryatt Hayles Howard Thank God! No Hume!
