Thracian Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 Funny really, thinking about positivity...Who'd have thought a team starting with three centre-halves and two full-backs would manage to find four goals? I don't think for one minute that we would under normal circumstances but that doesn't matter. We've had enough bad luck and been robbed of enough goals/players ourselves by refereeing decisions.
Narborough Bod Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 At the start of the season, if you had been told we would haveSteve howard ( 19 goals last season), DJ Cambell ( 12 goals in 19 starts), Lee Hendrie, Matt Oakley, Clemence ( Hundreds of PL appearances between them) The best Defence in the League I would be planning for the Premier League away grounds! This team has the ability to stay up, this result will give them the confidence! Wish I could have found someone to go with today! Up the City!!!! I LOVE STEVE HOWARD ( Thank you Derby!) Is West Brom's pitch made of paper, because we've been looking good on that for ages.
Fox in a Box Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 I knew we would win today, why... i saw 4 magpies , four for a boy.... and the boy be howard. BWAD BWOY HOWYZ.
lookwhaticando Posted 15 March 2008 Author Posted 15 March 2008 3rd 4-1 Victory of the season. Watford (did that even count?) West Brom (today) Who was the third team?
Ajax Treesdown Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 CITY WIN 4-1 and EBBSFLEET DRAW 1-1!!!! Ebbsfleet are off to Wembley!!!..........but more importantly CITY have WON!!!!!!!
Jimmy Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 We only had one offside?! Good lord.Anyway, yeh. Dubbya tee eff? well Campbell didn't start so we had strikers that actually look to stay on side
lookwhaticando Posted 15 March 2008 Author Posted 15 March 2008 Is West Brom's pitch made of paper, because we've been looking good on that for ages.
Jimmy Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 Watford (did that even count?)West Brom (today) Who was the third team? the other was 4-0
MikeyT Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 well Campbell didn't start so we had strikers that actually look to stay on side Yep you're right!
ForestFilbert Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 Ahhhhhhh absolutely brilliant!!! And to all those people predicting doom and gloom today, a hammering from West Brom and saying how useless we are...........*puts finger to lip...shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh*
Libertine Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 well Campbell didn't start so we had strikers that actually look to stay on side I know but Fryatt is usually even worse. Well done though indeed.
DB11 Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 We'll we've won our first game after going behind so hopefully we can now win 2 on the trot

I remember him being smug about another game when Southampton were 3-0 up against someone and blew it big time. And I cannot help but think history will repeat itself and Southampton will end up the third team going down.
Jimmy Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 I know but Fryatt is usually even worse. Well done though indeed. yes but he was basically in midfield was he not
Benjani Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 Tim Davies returns, just heard him speak on the coach!

STUHILL Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 Great Win BUT I wouldnt start with that Formation or even that team in next match! I know that sounds crazy after great win, but 4-4-2 is way forward against lesser teams! Hope Ollie adapts tactics to who we play!
Benji Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 shooting practice in training, 4 goals on saturday easy game innit
Bryn Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 Whos this gayboy on the phone! haha. My thoughts exactly.
lcfc_jme Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 Delighted. Ecstatic. Over the moon. Relieved. But still wanting to keep some sense of perspective: the other two games we've scored 4 goals in this season were Watford and Norwich at home, and we all know they were false dawns....
Frenzied Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 Happy... but we got very lucky at times today by the sounds of it and until Moore got sent off i think it was going to be a very ordinary drubbing, hope Ollie bears that in mind when it comes to tackling Colchester and Scunny... although i doubt we'll start with such a defensive initial line-up as today, at home against the likes of Colchester and Scunny. About time we had some luck. Should have beaten Preston, should have hammered Brizzle and should have beaten Soton. Second penalty of the season says it all.
Mort Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 And Southampton (who are above us)! Charlton have a goal difference of 5+ and their 9th and the first team to have a better goal difference, Brizzel are second and have the same gd as us... strange to say the least.
