West Brom Post Match

Funny really, thinking about positivity...

Who'd have thought a team starting with three centre-halves and two full-backs would manage to find four goals? :D

I don't think for one minute that we would under normal circumstances but that doesn't matter. We've had enough bad luck and been robbed of enough goals/players ourselves by refereeing decisions.

At the start of the season, if you had been told we would have

Steve howard ( 19 goals last season),

DJ Cambell ( 12 goals in 19 starts),

Lee Hendrie, Matt Oakley, Clemence ( Hundreds of PL appearances between them)

The best Defence in the League

I would be planning for the Premier League away grounds!

This team has the ability to stay up, this result will give them the confidence!

Wish I could have found someone to go with today!

Up the City!!!!

I LOVE STEVE HOWARD ( Thank you Derby!)

Is West Brom's pitch made of paper, because we've been looking good on that for ages.

We only had one offside?! Good lord.

Anyway, yeh. Dubbya tee eff?

well Campbell didn't start so we had strikers that actually look to stay on side

Ahhhhhhh absolutely brilliant!!! And to all those people predicting doom and gloom today, a hammering from West Brom and saying how useless we are...........*puts finger to lip...shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh* :giggle:

Well done though indeed.

Biggest reason I'm optimistic about survival now is that my middle son, a Southampton fan, rang me at 11.30 pm after last Tuesday's match. I remember him being smug about another game when Southampton were 3-0 up against someone and blew it big time. And I cannot help but think history will repeat itself and Southampton will end up the third team going down.

anyone know who Cov's game in hand is against?

Great Win BUT I wouldnt start with that Formation or even that team in next match! I know that sounds crazy after great win, but 4-4-2 is way forward against lesser teams! Hope Ollie adapts tactics to who we play!

Delighted. Ecstatic. Over the moon. Relieved. But still wanting to keep some sense of perspective: the other two games we've scored 4 goals in this season were Watford and Norwich at home, and we all know they were false dawns....:P

Happy... but we got very lucky at times today by the sounds of it and until Moore got sent off i think it was going to be a very ordinary drubbing, hope Ollie bears that in mind when it comes to tackling Colchester and Scunny... although i doubt we'll start with such a defensive initial line-up as today, at home against the likes of Colchester and Scunny.

About time we had some luck. Should have beaten Preston, should have hammered Brizzle and should have beaten Soton. Second penalty of the season says it all.

And Southampton (who are above us)!

Charlton have a goal difference of 5+ and their 9th and the first team to have a better goal difference, Brizzel are second and have the same gd as us... strange to say the least.
