Moreton Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 I know that these are made everytime a player has a cracker of a game but i think that Howard the Hatrick Hero deserves one today. Well done mate on your first City treble. Plenty more to come...hopefully
norfolkfox222 Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 so so so pleased for the guy!!!!!!!! Get in!!!!!!!!!
sdb Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 i love it!! typical leicester. villain last week, saviour today, useless next saturday! fair enough though, legend today! go stevey!!!
Thracian Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 Anyone scoring a hat-trick deserves credit and however disappointing he's been on occasions his six goals give him a chance of finishing leading scorer and 6 goals in 14 games is a fair proportion however they've fallen. I've long said we need two goals a game to win any match and so it was again today. The goals against Norwich and WBA shows they can do it but I wasn't happy with the starting line up and sincerely hope that being forced to change finally gets Holloway to understand that we have to win games rather than simply avoid losing them. Howard has given him a new and perhaps unexpected chance to build something special and I just hope he'll take it now.
STUHILL Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 This guy can finish, no matter how poor he has been of late, you don't score 19 goals in a season out of luck. Hopefully, more to come!! Special mention to Hayles too, he takes so much stick, me included, but he works hard and by sound of it, did pretty well today!

Yeah also another mention to Matt Oakley and his partnership with Lee Hendrie, Great today
STUHILL Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 Yeah also another mention to Matt Oakley and his partnership with Lee Hendrie, Great today Clemence will struggle to get back in, and rightly so. Great Loan deal by Ollie to bring Hendrie in! Hopefully permanent asap!!
Frenzied Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 He looked utterly devoid of confidence against soton. Really pleased for him, as from what I've seen he is the most natural finisher at the club.

Corky Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 This guy is good, he may do nothing all game, but give him one chance, and he will put it away. He reminds me of Iwan
filbertboy Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 Well done Stevie !! He has had a fair bit of stick recently and some of it would be justified in anyones book but at the end of the day he's our player ,wearing our shirt, trying to save our team. Today he did just that.
rob-blue-fox Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 Soooooooooooper sooooooooooooper Steve beat me to it
Stuliasz Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 When he gets the ball to feet in the box, he seems pretty lethal. Unfortunately he usually gets the ball to his head outside the box and is given a lot to do. We need to continue to play to his strengths, get the balls into the box and stop forcing him to play with his back to goal.
Moreton Posted 15 March 2008 Author Posted 15 March 2008 Just heard on BBC Radio Leicester it was Howards 4th Hatrick of his career

We need to continue to play to his strengths, get the balls into the box and stop forcing him to play with his back to goal. That's a very good point. He often seems more threatening on the floor than in the air yet we've tended to loft passes to him to the detriment of both him and the team in general. .
Uncle Albert Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 Well done Stevie Howard! You have proved us critics wrong. This week anyway.

Norwich game, we were playing to feet and he had a great game, holding ball up and creating/scoring goals. Maybe Fryatt made the difference today picking up ball in midfield and making passes to his feet. Be interesting to read reviews when fans return.
