MPH Posted 22 March 2008 Posted 22 March 2008 Hi - just got back. Live close to the stadium so was a short walk. Very depressing game, made all the more depressing from the fact that Henderson was our best player and infact probably the best game i have seen him play in a city shirt. Cracking penalty save and could easily of lost by 4-5. Other than him the whole team looked like they were desperate for someone else to step up to the plate and be counted. They were all looking for someone else to be the one to make the breakthough. We looked absolutly devoid of ideas in and around the penalty box.. some periods of decent possesion and passing, but not a clue up front. Hayles played well- our best outfield player but it was the final ball or the shots that were just not coming. Hull were a decent looking team - played ok but knew exactly what to do with the ball in the final third and if i was Mandaric i would be falling over myself to try and sign Frazier cambell next season- he was the only player who looked dangerous EVERY time he got the ball. There was no confidence in the team and Hendrie looked like the only MID who was trying.. defence were poor and i dont know why N'Gotty was taken off as he was the best of a bad defence... Make no mistake about it, folks.... if we play like this in any more games we are in serious trouble....
Leicfox Posted 22 March 2008 Posted 22 March 2008 This is what a Milan inspirational pre-match talk does.
Sniffer-Clarke Posted 22 March 2008 Posted 22 March 2008 Did not get this week - down with the flu sounds like i did not miss much heard it on the RL but you dont realy know how the games going with barber on there. If they aint got any idea whos to blame-only 1 guess
Moreton Posted 22 March 2008 Posted 22 March 2008 We have some good games but the thing is that we have to be playing the same style of football everygame. We have to be playing how we were at west brom and norwich. we played the ball on the ground, and to howards feet and it got us somewhere. everytime we find a way of playing that suits the players and gets us results, the next game we comletey forget it ang go back to sqare 1. is it soo hard to take things from the good games and work on them in training instead of trying new things??
MPH Posted 22 March 2008 Author Posted 22 March 2008 i know this is stating the obvious but now, for the first time i am worried for Ollie.... some people have been for a while, but we just looked completly devoid of Ideas.. If you cant be up for it at home with over 30,000 people in the stadium then somthing is seriously wrong....

AyewJoking Posted 22 March 2008 Posted 22 March 2008 If you didnt go to the game you should be ashamed. A beautiful spring day with some delightful football from both sides along with passion and good old fashioned determination.

You mean against 10 men?
Alexikokopops Posted 23 March 2008 Posted 23 March 2008 I said similar things while walking out the ground after Watford away, Coventry away, Preston home and Southampton away. Yet in that time we've still managed to beat Norwich 4-0 at home, Cardiff 1-0 away and West Brom 4-1 away and looked impressive while doing so (at the Norwich and Cardiff games at least, I couldn't make it to the West Brom game). I've given up trying to predict anything that's going to happen with this football club anymore.

somebum Posted 23 March 2008 Posted 23 March 2008 Surely any old fool can see that Hollohead is not up to the job by now. Did anybody see his column on the BBC site? Some idiot wrote to him and said 'I hope the critics look good with egg on their faces after the win against West Brom'. What this idiot is failing to realise is that City as a club have always shocked good sides. The city of today do it because they are under the illusion that they are better than anybody else; so when they meet the top sides they do better, against seemingly bad oppenents, they think they can just show up. But Hollohead has to deal with this nonsense! What a terrible, terrible manager he is turning out to be.
Master Fox Posted 23 March 2008 Posted 23 March 2008 I didn't go to the Blackpool game at the start of season. But the result told me we were already in trouble, again!
MC Prussian Posted 23 March 2008 Posted 23 March 2008 We've been in troubles for the past 4 to 5 years. But this is giving me the creeps. Bloody inconsistency. Bloody manager. Bloody players. Bloody Walkers jinx.

lookwhaticando Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 Bloody chairman. (That'll be from continually swinging the axe).
MC Prussian Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 Doesn't the chairman have a role in this? Can we sack the chairman, please? Chop, chop.
