davieG Posted 23 March 2008 Posted 23 March 2008 Ok from the initial results in the first poll it would seem, and it's not surprising that there is going to be a large majority who will pay virtually any price to continue their support of LCFC. So this poll asks a different question. Based on the current situation at the club do you think they have any just cause to increase any ticket prices next season assuming for now we are still in the Championship. Other Poll Here
Sods Posted 23 March 2008 Posted 23 March 2008 It can't be justified considering the season we have just seen and the fact we don't no what division we will be in.
Floating Fox Posted 23 March 2008 Posted 23 March 2008 Inflation only and thats not worth it. So no. Not at all. I know people have been going for donkeys years but they are really going to alienate a generation if they carry on.
lcfc_jme Posted 23 March 2008 Posted 23 March 2008 I wouldn't say a rise in prices can be justified, myself. For the standard of football we as fans are treated to, and for the amount of promotions the club runs to attract a bigger crowd to games during the season, it'd be ludicrous to increase season ticket prices. That said, I don't even think that would stop me getting one next season.

Ultra Posted 23 March 2008 Posted 23 March 2008 Bearing in mind ST prices in the Kop went up 12% this season, a reduction would be more in order.
Guest Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 Considering that any increase in ST prices is needed to line the pockets of players and their agents, no. No way. When are the clubs going to stand up to the PFA? The amount of money our players are paid may be small compared to some, but it takes the piss when they can earn more in a couple of weeks than most fans can earn in a year, and then show absolutely no passion, commitment to either those fans or the club that pays them. I don't care if it's a short career; when they've done, they can go out and earn their money like the rest of us, and perhaps they will soon realise why fans object to yet another price increase.

Daggers Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 and both our clubs spend on agents & players wage bill has rocketed this season...... Two clubs? Who is the other club?

The Reverend Posted 25 March 2008 Posted 25 March 2008 No.Someone call the English police! Why, cant they be foreign?
Fox in a Box Posted 25 March 2008 Posted 25 March 2008 Prices should only rise with us rising up the table. The past 4 years have been a joke. The club is in serious trouble if they think that people will renew next year, based on two facts, poor results and 'giving none ST holders' cheap as chips or free tickets. Oh I forgot I get 10% off inflated shirt prices thats fine eh! Fans are there for life remember.

Dr The Singh Posted 25 March 2008 Posted 25 March 2008 It's about supply and demand and value for money!!! Fortunately for the club there are always those that will buy season tickets no matter what the cost. Although in the current financial crisis of the 'working class' fan, a rise will only put them off!! Value for money - That is the main rason i did not buy one last season, and tht is the reason i will not buy one next season. The team for pound for pound offer little to me and my young family!!!
davieG Posted 25 March 2008 Author Posted 25 March 2008 Doesn't inflation or summat make 'em up go up? Not if the product is failing! Even then inflation is officially 2%
Guest Posted 25 March 2008 Posted 25 March 2008 and both our clubs spend on agents & players wage bill has rocketed this season...... Not to mention the added costs of paying off managers.
Daggers Posted 25 March 2008 Posted 25 March 2008 is that clearer No. Someone call the English police! I should have put a smilie after that - I wasn't trying to be arsey. (it comes naturally)
Daggers Posted 25 March 2008 Posted 25 March 2008 To: [email protected] Re: Season tickets Dear Peter, Please add my name to the list of people objecting in the strongest possible terms to an increase in the cost of season tickets next season. Please pass on to Milan Mandaric my disgust that a rise is even being considered considering what we have had to suffer from this team while he has been in charge. Not just that, but I believe there should be a reduction in the price of season tickets to reflect the awful football, dreadful signings and farcical managerial changes that have taken place. A reduction to say 'thank you' to the supporters who pledge their support financially at the beginning of every season. Needless to say, if there is an increase in cost I will not renew. I suspect many others will follow suit. Regards, Dave

I suspect many others will follow suit. Regards, Dave My first game having been in 1969 (we beat Man Utd 2-1 Best, Charlton, Law et al), I bought season tickets throughout the 80's and most of the 90's. When my daughter was born in 98 and son in 2000 I couldn't afford or justify the up front outlay on one wage. I did however continue to buy memberships and go on a weekly basis for most games. Three seasons ago I managed to convince my wife that a season ticket was a good way of me getting out with the kids, so off we went, me, daughter 7yrs and son 4yrs. They're now getting bored ridged, my daughter said the other week, I like being with you dad but Leicester are boring, they just keep kicking it up in the air instead of passing it to each other! (out of the mouth of babes eh!). For the first time ever, I'm thinking that I've got better things to do. On paper we have got some decent players, but if they can't be motivated, or if tactics are poor with players continually being played out of position, then it all points to one bloke yet again! As for MM, I can only presume he must have been much better in choosing management for his out of football businesses else he would have been bust by now. I dare say Portsmouth would perhaps have also been in dire straights if MM hadn't struck lucky with 'Arry'. Mind you, he almost cut his nose off to spite his face there as well didn't he! Whilst I'm generally of the opinion that you should support your team through thick and thin, if the jokers think I'm going to pay more for my season ticket next year then they're going to be sorely disapointed. I'll get a membership and just come to the cheap games, as another season of this rubbish would bore us into total submission! If we'd have gone down without MM's money with some of the kids fighting for us that have been sent out on loan, as daft and crass as it sounds, there would have at least been some honour in that. I'd have carried on supporting them as a matter of principle as if people are giving of their best but happen to come up short due to being beaten by better sides, then I for one can live with that. MM however has turned the place into a joke, he obviously, for all his years, isn't as knowledgeable about football as he thinks he is. As for 'Ollie', he makes a simple game very difficult and appears out of his depth! Cheers.

Trumpet Posted 25 March 2008 Posted 25 March 2008 What?! I'm paying them more money to take my Saturday afternoon?! I can hardly manage going down now, Starting work at 7, finishing at 2 and rushing there. I'd have to consider it next season!
Daggers Posted 25 March 2008 Posted 25 March 2008 News Flash: Everyone can stop panicking. I have just received a reply from the club so it looks as though they are taking the matter very seriously indeed and are acting promptly to prevent supporters from becoming more angry. Dear DaveThank you for your e mail. Your thoughts on season tickets has been noted. Regards Peter Phew! And to think I though they didn't care.... ...hang on a minute
