Fez of Mahrez Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 Gawd it's driving me mental listening to all these women phoning up saying how great it is that Milton Keynes have won something. That title was bought more than Chelsea's league wins! EDIT: I should add, I'm listening to 606. They're not phoning me.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 30 March 2008 Author Posted 30 March 2008 I don't know if anyone else is listening to it but it's like a rowdy Women's Institute meeting in Bletchley at the moment.
Kilworthfox Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 I don't know if anyone else is listening to it but it's like a rowdy Women's Institute meeting in Bletchley at the moment. Mc Dons = Plastic football club, theifs, No traditions, No honour.
SamL Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 MK FRANCHISE <ARGGGGGGGGGH.Tools the lot of them. Agreed. MK Dons represent how football has been commercialized. I wonder how many of the fans that went to Wembley today actually followed the old Wimbledon? Not many. No wonder this team has gone down hill.
SamL Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 Ah, they all come creeping out of the woodworks to grab their lime light as soon as a team wins something. They'll all probably be supporting whoever wins the FA Cup in a few weeks.
Maybes Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 Theres even Mk Dons fans occuring in my town. There not even real fans . They probably supported Man United before MK Dons 'originated'. Having said that I wonder how many ex-Wimbledon fans were at the game today?
Master Fox Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 Theres even Mk Dons fans occuring in my town. Where's your town? I'm from a town, near central plastic town. Tell me about which town you're from.

dandannieldanok Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 I don't know if anyone else is listening to it but it's like a rowdy Women's Institute meeting in Bletchley at the moment. I turned it off after that woman was going on about AFC Wimbledon, almost giving us a potted history of the club, and Spoony having to say her views had nothing to do with the BBC.
Master Fox Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 There not even real fans . They probably supported Man United before MK Dons 'originated'. Having said that I wonder how many ex-Wimbledon fans were at the game today? I supported Man Utd before Leciester.
Sods Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 Where's your town? I'm from a town, near central plastic town. Tell me about which town you're from. Brackley.
SamL Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 I supported Man Utd before Leciester. You're obviously a glory supporter then.
Durnerz Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 You're obviously a glory supporter then. Or he just swapped pleasure for pain.
Master Fox Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 You're obviously a glory supporter then. Stupid 11 year old kid. Why? I don't know. You would have thought the piss taking of my fox leisure kit would of been it. But no, stood strong. Still do.
davieG Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 You can't really blame the people from MK for supporting this club after all it's there and they have no other 'big' option better than supporting Man U - that said I think it's creation was against all the traditions of the football league. As for all the fans creeping out of the woodwork at the smell of success I think there's a massive element of the post calling the kettle - didn't we take 30K+ plus to all our Wembley trips when we were often unable to fill Filbert St and don't nearly all clubs?

True MK has not had anything like it before in any sport. To be honest you have to be mad to live their, its all roundabouts. I haven't got a problem with the MK fans, although half off them are youth football teams from promotions given by the club, but thats a different story Leicester do it as well. The problem i have mainly with MK is the tart of a chairmen they have, how anyone can do that to a football team is mad. Can you imagine Leicester fans being told were now moving to the North East. All hell would break loose.
Lovejoy Posted 31 March 2008 Posted 31 March 2008 I'm seriously in the minority here but I am pleased for the Dons. They are geographically my local team and having met Pete Winkleman (sp?) once, he is a really sound guy who genuinely cares about his "team". Before every home game, he hangs about for an hour or so chatting to fans, which I think is pretty good.

At least someones showing consistency with their arguements. I remember when Red on Red was on here giving us all his fantastic insights into the world of Milton Keynes, Paul Ince, Martin Allen, And how is wasn't anyones fault that Wimbledon FC were up rooted and moved 70 miles north, you were all nice as pie to him.
