Rincewind Posted 17 April 2008 Author Posted 17 April 2008 It was taken over a couple of months back. Being turned into a real ale pub. five new ones every week. festivals to mark the reopening of the pub and kitchen which is now cleaner.. I admit it wasn't the best boozer before but improvements have and will continue to be made. Plus theres free monkey nuts on the bar. Try the Wobble in there its very nice.. Brewed in Queningborough/
The People's Hero Posted 17 April 2008 Posted 17 April 2008 Presumably you're typing these from a list and not from memory - so how have you got from Boudicca to Bodecea? I know some people (wrongly) claim it's pronounced similarly to how you've (phonetically) spelt it... just curious? Have they actually called it Bodecea?
The People's Hero Posted 17 April 2008 Posted 17 April 2008 I had Banana Beer this evening - bought for free glass, but actually quite nice. I've had that a few times, banana bread beer I think it was called though. Pretty good. It's a bit of a lottery depending on which label my girlfriend likes and therefore buys at the supermarket.

Have they actually called it Bodecea? From a list. I was going to scan them in but I wasn't sure how to do it. When I scan they always look like photographs and not found out how to convert them to a file. Would have made things easier and save loads of edits. I kept getting returns at end of lines when they should have all fitted on a line each. Yes it is Bodecea. Just a spelling mistake that I missed. Sorry i see what you mean now, just checked my post is the correct spelling the other way? Its on the list how I've spelt it and on the beer pump as well. Have the brewery mucked things up? Actually I thought it was spelt Bodecea. Never seen it as far as I can remember spelt Boudicca.

Actually I thought it was spelt Bodecea. Never seen it as far as I can remember spelt Boudicca. I think it's a deliberate mis-spelling. Either way, I like Boudicca and want to try this ale. Got a few bottles of Bishops Finger for tonight. Chin Chin!

Rincewind Posted 17 April 2008 Author Posted 17 April 2008 A lot of work can be done in a few weeks if the workers are not being paid by the hour. . Only the other day one of the girls that work behind the bar was recovering bar stools. Made a good job of it too for a woman. They have been doing the kitchen out the last week or so. They've chucked a load of stuff out. Only so much can be done. They still had people doing work in the yard on Monday and Tuesday. The festival is partly to mark the opening of the new kitchen. I'm sure you'd find a lot of difference to how it was a few weeks ago. They haven't used the kitchen for customers since the reburbishment of it started.

MPH Posted 19 April 2008 Posted 19 April 2008 I quite my s2 travian villages/account - only s1 for me now! just about to quit my server 2 also.... we joined half way through and there is no fun at all in coming up against someone with 12,000 troops and someone who has been on the game for quite some time....
Rincewind Posted 19 April 2008 Author Posted 19 April 2008 I was expecting to be zeroed on S2. I raided/attacked a village two or three times with cats and rams and half destroyed it. Went to set it up the other night and seen they had joined Titan who are quite a big alliance and allied with DiabloV one of the front runners. I'm positive they were inactive and with no alliance at the time of my attacks. Got three villages and doing quite nicely but as its been said its late in the game. I am way behind some. I have a treasure chamber but not enough resources to buy treasure. We are ranked in the 60's so not too bad. We may stay together for the next one. Wondering what the best tactics are. Could be to all have the same tribe and build up exactly the same way which would mean no one lags behind. Would have to be tough on inactiveness and sitters would have to be arranged during the protection period.
Ultra Posted 21 April 2008 Posted 21 April 2008 Only had time to try 14 out of 36 ales. I went on the Friday night. Quite a few folk in there, and a couple of live bands too. The place still has its rough edges, but the beer is quality, as were the staff that served it.

I had about 20 farms around me and was miles from my alliance, it was all a bit easy and tedious with no point or goal to it. s1 is much better to play
