Your record against us is appalling.
Dr The Singh Posted 25 April 2008 Posted 25 April 2008 Good luck guys, unfortunately i can't make it to the game, but I will be celebrating our survival for sure our drowning my sorrows!!!
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 25 April 2008 Posted 25 April 2008 Do any city fans actually have an opnion on who they want the third relegated team to be? Although I think the Norwich/Wednesday match will ultimately decide things, personally, I'd like Southampton to go down, I really dislike them. And it's too far away.

Me personally, I couldn't give a **** as long as its not us It won't be us. I can't see the table changing too much (position wise), although I could see Norwich being dragged into deeper trouble. Southampton have a tough run in, probably the hardest out of the lot.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 25 April 2008 Posted 25 April 2008 I'd like it to be Southampton. Can West Brom be automatically promoted this weekend? Let's hope they bring the theoretical noise to Southampton (or the Hawthorns, don't know the venue).
bigneville Posted 25 April 2008 Posted 25 April 2008 Can West Brom be automatically promoted this weekend? Let's hope they bring the theoretical noise to Southampton (or the Hawthorns, don't know the venue). West Brom's match on Monday against Southamton COULD see them up as champions if results go for them on saturday. But they will be up either way if they win on Monday.
Maybes Posted 25 April 2008 Posted 25 April 2008 Can West Brom be automatically promoted this weekend? Let's hope they bring the theoretical noise to Southampton (or the Hawthorns, don't know the venue). Yep. Its at WBA. They will lose. They will go down.

They've got something to play for then. Can't see Southampton beating them.
tartanowl Posted 25 April 2008 Posted 25 April 2008 Yep. Its at WBA. They will lose. They will go down. It's their next game I'm worried about. You should be worried too if you lose to us on Saturday. The pigs have nothing to play for and will field a weakened side full of kids against them. If we lose to you and they have the chance to send us down by losing to Southampton they will. Their fans will probably even cheer the Saints goals. I hope I'm wrong but it's probably going to be a guaranteed 3 points for Southampton IMO.
isaidno Posted 25 April 2008 Posted 25 April 2008 Am I right in saying that if we draw on saturday and Norwich loose, we can't go down because Norwich play Sheff Wed on the last day of the season ?
tartanowl Posted 25 April 2008 Posted 25 April 2008 Am I right in saying that if we draw on saturday and Norwich loose, we can't go down because Norwich play Sheff Wed on the last day of the season ? Yeah pretty much. *Edit - in fact it depends what they do on Saturday.
Barry Trotter Posted 25 April 2008 Posted 25 April 2008 Am I right in saying that if we draw on saturday and Norwich loose, we can't go down because Norwich play Sheff Wed on the last day of the season ? Wrong.
Manwell Pablo Posted 25 April 2008 Posted 25 April 2008 Am I right in saying that if we draw on saturday and Norwich loose, we can't go down because Norwich play Sheff Wed on the last day of the season ? Yes.
Joe. Posted 25 April 2008 Posted 25 April 2008 Wrong. Well he's right. Unless Wednesday win like 5-0 on the last game of the season.
Fat Ron Posted 25 April 2008 Posted 25 April 2008 Am I right in saying that if we draw on saturday and Norwich loose, we can't go down because Norwich play Sheff Wed on the last day of the season ? Yes, because of our goal difference..
tartanowl Posted 25 April 2008 Posted 25 April 2008 God this is complicated. If we draw on Saturday, and Norwich pick up at least a point this weekend, then you can still go down if we beat Norwich on the last day, you lose to Stoke, and the other results (Barnsley, Southampton, Coventry) go against you. *Edit - ^^^^^^ That is definitely right. I've just done the predictor. You would have 52 points and the teams above would have 53+.

Yeah we know that

I don't think that Blackwell will allow his players to do that. The Blades have had an unacceptable season following their relegation and alot of players will be playing for their contracts.
thybluefox Posted 25 April 2008 Posted 25 April 2008 Yeah we know that I dont know about you lot, but I'm getting fooking nervous!!
