I am all up for berating the players at the end of the game if we win, if not lets leave it till Stoke

If i was there today, i would also berate the players along with you Thomas.

But i'm not, so you'll have to do it for me.

I will berate certain players, but some, along with the manager, will receive my applause.

Cricket match. New season. Called up.

However, i have reserved a seat in K Block. Just in case it rains so bad, the game gets cancelled - then i will make an appearence. At the moment, it's a beautiful day in Sileby

Yeah, cos that will really boost their confidence. And some people say Ollie is clueless?

Ha I don't care. When we are sure we are staying up why do they need confidence? Most should be gotten rid of!

you fail in your job then you should be told so, not patted on the back

I agree with what your saying, certain players should be applauded but unless they walk round individually then it's gonna be hard to differentiate bewteen which players you're applauding and which you're berating

I think a better way to show your unhappiness is to simply walk out.

I think this is probably the tack I'll take

NOTHING TO CELEBRATE IF WE AVOID RELEGATION, SAYS MILAN

CITY NEWS

BY BILL ANDERSON

10:30 - 26 April 2008

If Leicester City get the win they want for Championship safety against Sheffield Wednesday today, the Walkers Stadium will be ablaze with euphoria - except for one man in the boardroom.

Chairman Milan Mandaric knows that a skin-of-the-teeth escape is not what he is about, and formed no part of his ambitions for the club he is striving to raise back to the Premier League.

He said: "I would have nothing to celebrate. When you celebrate, it is because you have set up the target and you have achieved it or bettered it. You are celebrating doing it right, or better than right.

"There will be some level of satisfaction that we have not gone down, but celebration? In my book, no."

Mandaric will feel only relief rather than joy as he continues to strive to bring the success at City that he eventually did with his first English venture, Portsmouth, who are now a very credible Premier League force.

Coincidentally, Pompey also had to survive dropping into the third tier in Mandaric's first season. They did survive and, from then on, their direction was onwards and upwards.

Today's packed house fuels Mandaric's ambition and, if the club get the numbers they expect, it could exceed the record Championship attendance of the season so far, currently standing at the 31,760 for the Sheffield derby at Bramall Lane earlier this month.

That underlines why Mandaric feels so committed to the cause and he said: "That is what puts pressure, positive pressure, on my shoulders to deliver. I see 30,000 people coming here desperate to see a winner, and I am desperate to give it to them.

"We need to be positive about where we are going from here. This is not what I planned, what I desired and, when you look at our financial resources, our budgets - we just should not be down there.

"At Portsmouth, the expectations of the place were not so high as here.

"They had been down for a long time, while we consider ourselves as a big club who should rightly be in the Premier League, so the job was different.

"I hope and pray we will stay up because that would save a year of our lives, the minimum of a year it would take to get back to where we started this season, as a Championship side.

"If it does happen, then we have to be big men and stand up to it, but I feel we have the players and the ability to stay up and allow us to build for next season with a positive plan for the future."

you should be told in a constructive and motivational way not berated and told how crap you are... they actually already know how bad this season has been for them... have said it plenty of times so have the fans for that matter

If we win a quiet round of applause and walking out is the best response but I would imagine the massive feeling of relief will take over many fans and they will be feeling euphoric leading to uncontrolled rejoicing which could be seen by the players as directed at them.

Especially if it leads to chants of We love you Leicester etc.

Il stay and i will clap at a few obviosuly their will be a few v signs to some players.

But seriously if they come out for a lap, some people will say don't celebrate you haven't been good enough.

Others will say 'thanks for not appreciating our support you mindless bastards' if they don't come out.

They cant win. If we stay up however i would like to see Barry being lifted.

I'm prepared to bet a £ to a pinch of sh1t that there is no noticeable protest if we win. In fact come final whistle it will appear as if we've just won the league.

Regardless, they need to show their appreciation for our continued forebearance and support. If that means they get a few heckles then so be it, they should take it on the chin and deal with it, it's all part of their obligation to take responsibility for what's happened this season. The manager and backroon staff are also very much included in this.

For the record, I'll be selectively applauding those players who I think deserve our support and who I would like to see stay at the club. The other, I'll just be ignoring.

As isaid the difference between signs of relief and apparent praise for the players would be hard to discern.

What good would any sort of protest do at this stage of the season?

Milan is very much aware that this season has been a failure, he doesn't need the fans to tell him.

Agree although how the specific players will know whether you are supporting them or ignoring them I don't know, I'm sure a rendition of du du du Matty Fryatt will be sung because that's virtually the only player song in our repertoire.

Yeah, I know.

Maybe Milan should send them round the pitch individually?

The players shouldn't be berated. Im tired of hearing that its all their fault. They've been playing for a club that has been and still is a total mess. Is it any surprise that we have been shit this season when we've had numerous managers and over 40 players in the first team? Who out of the team playing today actually DESERVES to be booed? Stearman. No. Hume. No. The defence generally. No. Hayles. No. Bell. No. Howard. No. So who then? Mandaric. Probably. Allen. Probably. Megson. Maybe. Dont take it out on the players. If we win today they deserve better, unlike some of those off the pitch.

That would be excellent and very funny to see laugh.gif
