Basingstoke Fox Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 To be fair Birch seems abit too shocked to do alot
Corky Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 So it wasn't the £30,000 per week and free company car then Birch?
Ozwin Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 I wouldn't want Walshy as manager, I'd like him involed but not in such a capacity.
Guest Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 I will remind you if milan does punt for big sam, money does talk you know..... and he did live around this area before. Not going to happen. I have staked my reputation and legs on it.
wurmer Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 They don't make any comment when people say to get rid of Ollie! I know, it's annoying... they obviously don't wanna talk about it. If they wanna put a smile on my face, then get rid of Ollie please....
Wycombe Fox Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 I was one of those fans in 1971 which means that I was one of the reasons Birch came to City. Sorry to you all! Only joking - he was a great player.
wurmer Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Not going to happen. I have staked my reputation and legs on it. Absolutely agree, would stake my Hamsters balls on it... wish people would get real....
Corky Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 The presenter just started talking over the cricket reporter. How rude
Fox in a Box Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Not going to happen. I have staked my reputation and legs on it. the faintest hope, is something to cling onto!
placidcasual Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 I wouldn't want Walshy as manager, I'd like him involed but not in such a capacity. I don't want him as manager either. He just seems to be the default solution for a lot of people.
kevinwpratt Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 That idiot presenting it saying we won't sign McLean because we're in the same division as them.We can offer higher wages. I think you might find they have their own wealthy chairman, if i'm not mistaken his company paid 3 million for the shirt sponsorship as a way of getting around the salary cap in League 2...... Or so i have been informed by a Posh fan at work dunno:
davieG Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Don't me wrong, I think he's the only character that could pull us out of this mess, but only if we stayed up. If he came to us now, I will walk around the running track in the nurses uniform and fishnet stockings that were mentioned a few weeks ago, first game of the season. It ain't going to happen. Anyone got Allardyce's phone number
Fox in a Box Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Anyone got Allardyce's phone number Kevin bond?, The Newcastle Chairman, Phil Gartside..
Corky Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 I don't want him as manager either. He just seems to be the default solution for a lot of people. It's the Newcastle/Keegan situation all over again. Only one man, the "Messiah", can satisfy the masses.
Wycombe Fox Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Newcastle 2 Chelsea 0 He read out the scorers and then sounded surprised at Newcastle beating Chelsea 2-0 What a shower!
Guest Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 The presenter just started talking over the cricket reporter. How rude If someone doesn't get Maddy out soon, someone else is going to be more grumpy.
Thracian Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Birch has lost the plot - he's on about giving kids head now He's just a bloody diplomat. He had nothing to say about the youngsters when it mattered, at least that I can remember threatening to raise any roof.
Corky Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 If someone doesn't get Maddy out soon, someone else is going to be more grumpy. What was the score, I didn't hear because someone was talking over him?
The Reverend Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 He's just a bloody diplomat. He had nothing to say about the youngsters when it mattered, at least that I can remember threatening to raise any roof. A puppet more like. As much as i like the bloke, the club pay his wages and dont we just know it!
Guest Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 What was the score, I didn't hear because someone was talking over him? 47-3 off of 10.1 overs.
Corky Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 A puppet more like. As much as i like the bloke, the club pay his wages and dont we just know it! I often listen to the Norwich phone-in, and it's exactly the same. The "Birch" for Norwich is Neil Adams, and he's employed by the club, so no criticism of anyone is allowed. It's stupid. 47-3 off of 10.1 overs. 23 overs a side isn't it?
