Matt Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 Another positive of relegation to League One is that we won't have to watch and shitty, pointless, boring, England friendlies, Am I correct in thinking from League One down they carry on with their League games as usual? If not that thread is totally pointless. And England also play mid-week friendlies or a late K/O on Saturday's I suppose but what I mean is atleast we will still be playing aswell, Always hated it when their was an England Friendly on and there was no Championship/Premiership games.

Yes, but we'll probably have internationals from other countries so our matches may be called off. Hope not though.
Zingari Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 another negative though 4 teams get relegated from league 1
Corky Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 another negative though 4 teams get relegated from league 1 If only that had been the Championship as well. We have dragged Coventry with us
Ozwin Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 Do League 1 teams play mid week football? I'm so new to all this I have no idea.
AmericanScott Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 Do League 1 teams play mid week football? I'm so new to all this I have no idea. Yes
Matt Posted 7 May 2008 Author Posted 7 May 2008 Do League 1 teams play mid week football? I'm so new to all this I have no idea. Not sure about in general but I think Sky sometimes have League One games on Monday and Friday nights.
lavrentis Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 Do League 1 teams play mid week football? I'm so new to all this I have no idea. I think so yeah, wouldn't see why they don't. There's a hell of a lot of games in league 1, come the end of next season the players are going to well and truly knackered.
dandannieldanok Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 Do League 1 teams play mid week football? I'm so new to all this I have no idea. Yes, but not as frequently, because as Matt has correctly speculated we won't change for internationals as Championship do.
lildave3 Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 Oh my, for about that. But what will happen when our star striker Louis Dodds gets called up for England? Seriously though, if Hume stays and gets called up for Canada still, that'll be a shitter.

Pending that they're all still here of course if those 5 get called up, we would have a postponed fixture.

Scow Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 Let's start a new thread for every positive we identify - no matter how trivial.
The People's Hero Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 Let's start a new thread for every positive we identify - no matter how trivial. Scowy is a legend. (even if he thinks I'm a twat)
Fox You Forest Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 When i read the title i though there was an epidemic going round.
The People's Hero Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 Must be my paranoia/drunkenness buddy, let's link arms and dream of a team of brian deanes (you what?)
Scow Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 Must be my paranoia/drunkenness buddy, let's link arms and dream of a team of brian deanes (you what?) There's nothing wrong with static midfielders, who are reluctant to move away from the centre circle - unless your name is Andy Johnson.
