Koke Posted 18 May 2008 Posted 18 May 2008 Good kick-abouts, but I'm abosultely shattered. And I have another game to play today. I'll be surprised if I last more than 40-45 minutes in that. MOTM was Singh and Hullfox and Sparky, difficult to chose from them. Special shout out to Bert who decided to do a runner and leave me dead on my arse and score And Syston_Fox meant that goal. It was some calculated shit and he got the angle spot on. We did alright in the first half and we held our own in parts of second but in the end the U21 were too good for us. But well done everyone

I was part of the back four that made it difficult for the U21's, and while I was on the pitch, we didn't concede (in the first half). We just ran out of steam in the second half - a few of us are incredibly unfit. Coupled with all the changes we made, inevitably it was going to go wrong. Anyhow, it was terrific match, played in the right spirit again. Post match was fun - as Cobbo pointed out, we got completely wankered. Drinking beer and vodka on an empty stomach made it fairly messy. Getting home was a 'mare though. I took a taxi and the driver dropped me off 4 miles away from home! There are road works on the A6 and the roundabout was closed near Birstall. I told the taxi driver this, and told him to take an alternative route, but he decided to take the normal route, and then pretended to not understand me. Despite paying £17, I was left to stagger down a dual carriage way at 3am, eating a chicken burger, and aching all over. What a cu nt.
