Paul Lambert says he is keen to manage another club in England - despite resigning as Wycombe boss last week.

The 38-year-old, who left Wycombe after their League Two play-off defeat by Stockport, has been linked with a move back to Scotland.

But the former Scotland, Motherwell and Celtic midfielder said: "If truth be told I would like to stay in England.

"You sometimes don't have the choice to do it but it took me two years to get a reputation there and I'd like to stay."

i know how this is going to sound.... my mums, sisters, aunties daughters, cousins, dog told me ....etc.

...but, my father in laws best friend is on holiday in Los Gigantes, Tenerife (I've been to the same place, and can vouch for the fact that Birch goes there all the time) ....anyway he's just been speaking to the Birch and he assured him it WILL be Lambert.... make of that what you will guys, all i would say is the conversation took place for a fact so its just down to wheather or not Birch is telling porkies and frankly i cant imagine why he would!!?

last time i was there we were watching leicester play a pre season friendly on TV against Barca, and competing............ how things have changed !!

Yes my mate used to own that before he sold up couple years back to move back to leicester! Good old cheggers!

yeah its not exactly ibiza but we go there with the wifes mum and dad, and with two little kids its ideal! ....plus like you say its nice to go abroad and see plenty of leicester shirts!!

According to the Merc Milan has only just returned from the USA today to start the recruitment process, now he may have done some preliminaries but I doubt he's reached a point where he's actually agreed a deal.

I'd rather be relegated than have Megson still in charge, if Lambert is anything liem Megson then I hope to god that these rumours are false. I was under the impression Lambert was a bit of a pioneer for champagne football.

what do you mean by champange football. Drinking and celebrating wins while still playing?
