Odds for new manager

Your next manager hasn't even been mentioned on here in all these discussions. To give you a clue he was interviewed prior to Holloway getting the job but by all accounts turned the job down. Circumstances have now changed however and is a certainty to takeover.

Someone knows something we don't. Grayson has rubbished reports he is going to Leicester in the Blackpool Gazette.

He is at a team he got promoted from League 1 and kept them in the Championship. Their Chairman has promised more funds this season for transfers. They are a division above us theres no way he will leave.

Yet he's favourite :crylaugh:

My money's on Lambert or Newell.

Ok I shall reveal the name of your new manager.... Steve Cotterill. I notice that Victor Chandler have added him to their market so they obviously know something to. Mandaric is a big fan of Cotterill.

He's simply said it is all speculation and he is concentrating on his job.

If he'd wanted to rubbish the reports he could simply have said: "I am flattered by the reports but will be starting next season as manager of Blackpool."

He doesn't say that at all, or anything like it.

I thought the odds were based mostly on what bets are being laid so if a lot of people suddenly decide they fancy Grayson hsi odds will come down, I hardly think our potential manager is going to be attracting harden gamblers with a line to the inside, especially with Mad Manny invilved - or am I missing?

I seem to remember a certain Ian Holloway telling a local paper he would not be leaving Plymouth, a week later he was Leciester manager. Once managers realise the speculation is true, they often change their minds or retract previous comments.

You obviously never saw Cotterill's team playing away games.

I have actually and they win! He took a lower table team into a play-off contending team when he left.

And when he was at Leicester he also didn't do himself any harm.
