davieG Posted 2 June 2008 Author Posted 2 June 2008 With the numbers we have there is the option to go for five teams although doing either a knock out draw or a round robin becomes more complex/takes longer. A knock out would mean teams having byes and a round robin would go from 6 games to ten taking considerably longer. At the moment with 4 teams your looking at: 4 Teams of 6/7 people including 1/2 sub Round Robin where each team plays the other = 6 games 6 games x 15 minutes + 5 minutes for change over = 2 hours (£80 @ Goals / £60 @ St Margaret's -availability and price not confirmed) If time permits top 2 teams play off, you'd probably have to pay for an extra hr based on 3 pts for a win etc. - Total time 2hours 20min Round 1 1) A vs D 2) B vs C Round 2 1) C vs A 2) D vs B Round 3 1) A vs B 2 C vs D
Tomassi Posted 2 June 2008 Posted 2 June 2008 Well done for sorting all this out Mr. DavieG If its going to happen at goals, please stick it to 5 a side (4 on pitch, 1 in goal) otherwise it gets too congestive. the pitches are smaller than an 18 yard box. also, if sparky and robbo and 1 more player play, you could have 5 teams if you take out one member from team 1, b and c then every team have 5 + 1 sub just ideas

As I said 5 teams becomes more than just a bit awkward to organise fairly or it runs into 4 hours to complete, plus I'm sure some will drop out. I'm waiting to see if St Margaret's is free as it's bigger, I believe thus allowing 6 a side if you want, cheaper and central. OriginalRobboFox is now in team D
