Id say Sparky and RobboFox (Who likes the half men half ladies) did too but they dissapeared and we couldn't find them.Quality night and props to the Singh and nearly all of Team B for turning up at some point. Lowen you big slag! the last bus was at 5 -pat 11
Bert Posted 6 July 2008 Posted 6 July 2008 I've just got in now. Had a great day. Firstly thanks to DavieG for organsing it all, it was smoothly ran without any blips, thanks to Bignev for sorting out the pitch. Also thanks to Isaidno for reffing. Congrats to team D as well, couldn't have ask for a better, determined team.

Scow Posted 6 July 2008 Posted 6 July 2008 I have my excuse(s) - I've got pre-season training with Fosse this morning and have to drive. Plus I'm about to consume a stupid amount of beer today at our AGM. As for the tournament, I thought it went really well. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and there wasn't too much between the teams. The eventual winners failing to beat Team A, though I still maintain we were quite unlucky. Team D did deserve to win it on the balance of play. I was also pleased with my quick reactions - as well as putting in a 'cat' like performance in goal I was able to prevent Valerenga sneakily taking my beer away, the bugger.

Got 1st day of pre season training in 20 mins , hungover and bolloxed !!

Me and JME must have been the youngest 2 in there by flipping miles! All the talent left before the band
syston_fox Posted 6 July 2008 Posted 6 July 2008 Now about my goal....... Forget the goal. It was all about the celebration!
Flynny Posted 6 July 2008 Posted 6 July 2008 Now about my goal....... Mammalous goal. Visionary assist, too.
Finnegan Posted 6 July 2008 Posted 6 July 2008 It's all about that steaming run (and awful first touch) for the equalizing goal.
Flynny Posted 6 July 2008 Posted 6 July 2008 It's all about that steaming run (and awful first touch) for the equalizing goal. That was a lump from someone as well wasn't it? I can only remember you actually finishing it, not the buildup.

Floating Fox Posted 6 July 2008 Posted 6 July 2008 Great day. Big thanks to Davie, Big Nev & Matt for organising and reffing (Even if it was awfull!). Congrats to team D who won, and were 2 minutes short of loosing to us! Post-match drinks were quality as well. I would have lasted the distance if I had a way of getting home. Didn't feel to drunk when I left at 11 to get the bus. Apologies to team A who were stuck with me And I thought It was you Valengra, we were all trying to figure out who you were

We have a half pitch for 3 hours, so i'll leave it up to Sparky/davieG to decide the timings of the games and finer details. But we must pay before we play. So if everyone can get there by 11:45 at the latest to make sure we get the full alloted time and that we pay in advance. Costing was £21 per hour for 3 hours. So £21*3 = £63. So we need to pay that between us. Which works out at about £16 a team. Which isnt too bad. Any questions regarding the pitch booking then let me know. General Smuts Posted 7 July 2008 Posted 7 July 2008 We all assumed it were Valarenga but were hesitant to say so in case you hadn't just nipped over from Scandanavia to see a bunch of pissheads and miscreants play 6-a-side
