RizLCFC Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 Just saw Billy Davies on Skysports News saying he is fit and ready to return to football management, asked about the Leicester and Hearts vacancy he said "there has been no contact between me and them clubs", so we can only suppose Milan doesn't want him and Leicester are not interested in him, obviously, he is a favourite amongst many of our fans including myself, lets look at our managers under Milan (who he bought in): Nigel Worthington - didn't expect to see him come in, done ok in a short period of time, overlooked for next season when we thought he would have been an ok choice Martin Allen - didn't expect to see him come in rather shocked by his appointment though he had a decent record Gary Megson - couldn't possibly see him coming in, another suprise, left quicker than he came in aswell Ian Holloway - could see him coming in and at the same time heading out Now we want a Grayson or a Davies, i'm going to back Milan to go against our wishes again, SUPRISE US AGAIN!!! I just have a dodgy feeling he will go for Lawrie Sanchez or John Gregory, I would back either of them because that's what us fans do no matter what comes in, disappoints us and goes out of Leicester City Football Club, I would be disappointed to see either of them in the seat.
Daggers Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 I just have a dodgy feeling he will go for Lawrie Sanchez You are on drugs if you think we could attract him here.

Scow Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 Mandaric has already made himself look stupid, but surely he can't get any worse and appoint either Gregory or Sanchez, bearing in mind he wanted a manager with a 'winning mentality'.

Dirty Sanchez can buggery off 'n all. You are on drugs if you think we could attract him here. Sanchez NOT IN!

demon_dog Posted 14 June 2008 Posted 14 June 2008 Milan will decide over the weekend Milan Mandaric is “very close” to naming Leicester City's new manager and will make his final decision in the next 48 hours. By that time, he will have interviewed all the candidates on his short list, apart from MK Dons boss Paul Ince whom he was not permitted to approach. Mandaric said: “It has taken longer than I expected but I am very close to getting the man I want. “I have seen just about everyone I wanted to interview with perhaps one more over the weekend. By Monday or Tuesday I will be ready to make the announcement. “And it will be the right man. “It will be someone I am convinced will be able to take the club forward, someone with the same drive and ambition I have myself. “Many of those I have talked to are those sort of managers. “The new manager will be one who will instil discipline, handle the dressing room well and try to play as entertaining a brand of football as possible. “Not only do I want us to get back up to the Championship but I also want us to do it playing the right way.” Mandaric added “Everyone knows we have the infrastructure to be a top club, a tremendously loyal support who have backed us every week in huge numbers even when we have not doing well over the last few seasons. “That is why so many people were interested in the job and now I have to sit down tomorrow and choose the one I think will be able to deliver what we all want.” The incoming manager will have less than two weeks to gauge the squad he inherits and who he wants in terms of new players. That could be a tall order but Mandaric will take all of that into consideration when he makes that all-important decision. He will be sure that, when he makes his choice, it will indeed be the best man for the task of restoring the club's fortunes as soon as possible. From todays Mercury, Monday or Tuesday it is then.

The Stig Posted 14 June 2008 Posted 14 June 2008 I can't help but have very little faith in Milan. Everything takes "longer than expected".
