davieG Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 I think he all but said he wasn't interested. So did Holloway and a string of managers at all clubs it par for the course, sometimes true often not.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 I'm not saying he'll be our next manager but there is nothing in that article whatsoever that rules him out. I know you were deeply cynical about my assertion on Saturday that it was now highly unlikely to be Gregory, Fezzy Wezzy, but I won't let that stop me saying the same source said that Grayson was very keen on the position, although there was no confirmation of whether an approach had been made or was imminent. It could all of course be as real as the Hitler Diaries, and I'm not banging a small wooden mallet on the table, but it was said by someone who you'd expect to know more than most and I'm repeating it here
Guest Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 Who have you been playing tonsil tennis with?Names names names! No-one. My immune system is shot, due to the steroids I was prescribed. But that's another story.
Lillehamring Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 Funny how these people who say they know things can never give their source. what is funny is that the several people on here who claim to know have all declared it will be different people, i guess one of them will be right - or not
Katy Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 No-one. My immune system is shot, due to the steroids I was prescribed. But that's another story. Rachael had tonsillitis on saturday
Tilley Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 I blame the new manager for my tonsillitis. Who have you been playing tonsil tennis with?Names names names! I've got tonsilitis at the minute Walshy will defo be Gregorys assisstant should he take over, from the horses mouth.
izzetafox? Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 I've got tonsilitis at the minute Walshy will defo be Gregorys assisstant should he take over, from the horses mouth. Which horse, walshy or gregory?
Tilley Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 Which horse, walshy or gregory? Walsh, But he still seems to think that Grayson is still the favourite.
izzetafox? Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 Walsh,But he still seems to think that Grayson is still the favourite. Well i hope he is right, however im nearly past caring who it is. Just wish it was settled and the new man im place!
Tilley Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 Well i hope he is right, however im nearly past caring who it is. Just wish it was settled and the new man im place! To be quite honest, so am I. I just want a manager, whether it's Gregory or not. Maybe then we can start rebuilding for next season.
Tilley Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 What happened to the Billy Davies bandwagon? It's pointless, There is not a chance he's coming, would absolutely love it if he did though.
Legend_in_blue Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 It's pointless,There is not a chance he's coming, would absolutely love it if he did though. It's a shame really. Once I'd got the bandwagon going, there seemed to be no stopping it!

Albeit fairly sarcastically. I hope your mate's right.
Tilley Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 It's a shame really. Once I'd got the bandwagon going, there seemed to be no stopping it! Milan stopped it. Or maybe Billy Davies just turned us down, who knows.
dudedog Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 Latest update from mercury is that Walsh is still undecided. Gregory, apparently, wants to make his application public with Walshy announced as his prospective #2. Walsh, not really certain that Gregory is going to get the job, is a little unwilling to back a losing horse. Walsh was surprised that MM didn't follow up his interest in Grayson. Apparently MM sounded Grayson out and was told Grayson was interested but did not follow up with a formal approach to Blackpool. MM on his way to a meeting in London with godknowswho tonight.

Yeah I've heard similar, Walsh for some reason, still puts Grayson as his favourite for the job.
Cropwellfox Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 Meeting in London.... Phil Parkinson??? And so another name is thrown into the ring
Tilley Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 Where are people hearing all this crap? My best mates Dad speaks to Walshy most days, He said over the weekend he thinks Grayson would get the job, & said that he is still the favourite tonight & that he will be Gregory's number 2! **** me, I wish Billy Davies was coming.
gosfox Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 Where are people hearing all this crap? If it wasn't for all this "Crap"/speculation there wouldn't be much point in having a forum

So that roughly means if Mandaric cant persuade Grayson Its Gregory & Walshie?
Guest Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 Rachael had tonsillitis on saturday Don't start those kind of rumours, you will only disappoint the men folk of this forum.
FleckneyFox Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 Oh yeah i forgot, have Ollies staff actually left yet?
Tilley Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 So that roughly means if Mandaric cant persuade Grayson Its Gregory & Walshie? Erm, yeah pretty much But, don't know where Pearson & Wortho fall into this. Would love to know what is going on at Leicester City
