Mark Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 Funny how these people who say they know things can never give their source. You don't necessarily need to tell of one when you've been proven right in the past.
SamL Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 If that's true then Milan's fcuking brain dead.I mean who would you rather have Grayson or Gregory/Pearson Couldn't agree more. I'd love to have Grayson here. Pearson only just saved Southampton from relegation whereas Gregory has been poor at most clubs he's managed. There's a reason why he hasn't had a job for a while.
Stevosevic Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 The 'Jas' fella on TB is usually spot on isn't he? They seem to think he is, he says 1pm today.
dudedog Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 Ok, this will be the last post from me!Just remember who told you about Megson leaving, who confirmed fixtures before they were announced, who kept everyone up to date with the Holloway deal, and who is now telling you it will be Gregory. I can't help the fact that your too stupid to see the truth when it's put on a plate for you. Oh well, your loss not mine. Have fun all. check his other posts. pretty accurate like he said Gregorys Army!
Mark Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 We really are in a bad state when the reason behind the delay in naming the new manager was due to Milan having to persuade John Gregory to take on the job.
dudedog Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 We really are in a bad state when the reason behind the delay in naming the new manager was due to Milan having to persuade John Gregory to take on the job. how do you know this is correct?
Mark Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 how do you know this is correct? I have 100% faith in ohmy6od2.
teblin Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 I have 100% faith in ohmy6od2. Just read through his other posts, he's been pretty much spot on.
SamL Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 If Milan appoints Gregory and he does well, fair play to Milan. But on the other hand, if he makes a mistake by appointing Gregory then I fully expect him to leave.
Dr The Singh Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 I have 100% faith in ohmy6od2. A mate of mine who works at Eon building next to filber street was speaking ot the securirty guard at the walkers stadium and he reckons it's Gregory and Walsh as his assistant. But a different security guard says that Gregory will be director of football, with Newell as manager and walsh as assistant, and that Gregory turned down the job as he reckons a champoinship club will come for him, but as Newell has had a bad relationship with agents and owners in the past, gregory will be the conduit between the two and can leave if another job comes in!! The delay in getting a new manager is because of Gregory and that today the deal will be finalised and there will be announcement tommorow!! I wouldn't stick my reputation on any of the above, my mate is just another messenger, although he has been right on a couple occassions. The only fact in both stories is that both Gregory and Walshy have been at the club!!!!
Number 6 Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 I don't think there is any 'ideal' candidate available, but then Milan has made his decision and so has to stick with it. Can't see Gregory being a good appointment. To me it just feels like a massive step backwards. I hope I'm proved wrong but I can't see him being a success here.
Bojimha Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 I'll be so gutted if this turns out to be true, I've never liked Gregory.

Asha Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 I would rather have Gregory today than Grayson in a month. We just need a manager and to get started with re-shaping the squad.

Dr The Singh Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 I been saying it'll be Gregory for weeks and no one believed me either. I believed you dG, since the day I tried to hire him for my kids birthday party, and you said he was between jobs!!!

skinnydipper Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 There's a reason why we're having to settle for him as well. You tease Is it because we're shit and have a megalomaniac chairman?
surrifox Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 we always seem to have a sort of "stalking horse" whose name is bandied about at new manager time (as a club we have become used to the ritual) in the past it's been the likes of Pleat and Peter Reid (hotly tipped by a number of papers last time around ) neither of whom has been mentioned this time around as serious contenders, instead we have gregory. To the best of my knowledge and belief there are no obstacles to appointing Gregory and his appointment could have been made weeks ago- therefore it has to be someone in employment or who needs the nod to walk out of his job on a strong promise- again not JG. My guess is a deal for Ince is underway
