gosfox Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 My best mates Dad speaks to Walshy most days,He said over the weekend he thinks Grayson would get the job, & said that he is still the favourite tonight & that he will be Gregory's number 2! **** me, I wish Billy Davies was coming. I dont get that..... if Grayson gets the job, where would Walshie be Gregory's No2???
Daggers Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 If it wasn't for all this "Crap"/speculation there wouldn't be much point in having a forum erm...biscuit wars
Tilley Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 I dont get that..... if Grayson gets the job, where would Walshie be Gregory's No2??? He wouldn't, Thats the thing, Walshy wont go public about it because he doesn't expect it to happen. He thinks Grayson will get it. Hence, if Grayson doesn't get it, Gregory & Walsh might.

I can believe that Walshy could be Gregory's assistant if he gets the job, but I don't think MM would discuss his other choices with Walshy. He must only be guessing about Grayson.
Matt Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 So Milan meets Grayson tonight? Get an answer tonight/tomorrow? Announced Friday? Please

FleckneyFox Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 Hmmm Grayson didnt sound interested in the BBC interview
Tilley Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 Hmmm Grayson didnt sound interested in the BBC interview I don't expect Grayson to want it I do think we will be stuck with Gregory, unless Milan pulls one out the hat.
teblin Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 So walsh's gone to london with gregory, is that right? Meeting in London.... Phil Parkinson???And so another name is thrown into the ring Where have you plucked that one from?
demon_dog Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 Can't understand why Walsh should be even considered. Someone who hasn't even bothered to get any coaching badges. I'd imagine Taggs would be really p*ssed off with that. We can all talk the talk, be better off making Thracian the number two. At least he talks more sense!!
Nick Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 Well, I have no real sources to speak of but having returned from the pub tonight having drank with a bookie and two geezers who know people around the 'City' their gut feeling seems to be a certain Nigel Pearson..... I'm not sure what to make of this but that's the unsubstantiated gossip. N.
sham Posted 19 June 2008 Posted 19 June 2008 Ince is the No.1 Candidate for the Rovers job according to sky sports news so i guess ruling out the possibility of milan waiting till the 'end of the week' to see if ince does get the job is effectively ruled out. Pearson or Gregory is looking more and more likely! SOURCE
Guest Posted 19 June 2008 Posted 19 June 2008 My money's on Colonel Mustard, in the library with the lead piping.
Collymore Posted 19 June 2008 Posted 19 June 2008 Was talking to my mate who said that his dad’s stepbrother was on a flight in to east midlands sat next to Spencer Prior. Prior apparently told him that he had been speaking to Gareth Williams in Asda and apparently William’s had said that Nigel Clough had heard from MON that Steve Walford was talking to John Gregory at an Aston Villa nostalgia night. The word is Gregory was telling Walford to tell John Robertson that you can now use Morrison vouchers down Tesco. Now here’s the interesting part – Gregory also said you could use Sainsbury vouchers down Tesco too.

teblin Posted 19 June 2008 Posted 19 June 2008 I guess there is a slight chance that now ince looks as though he is getting the blackburn job, we may have been waiting for one of those candidates.

Ric Flair Posted 19 June 2008 Posted 19 June 2008 I would wager a bet that we won't have a manager before pre-season starts.

MC Prussian Posted 19 June 2008 Posted 19 June 2008 I would wager a bet that we won't have a manager before pre-season starts. What if... ... the team would coach itself autonomously? Saves costs & maybe results in a new, fresh team spirit.
