Not too impressed with the quality of the game, both teams were nervous in the beginning. Austria pushed forward, but the longer it went, the more obvious it became that they simply don't have the means to win a game. I think the FIFA rankings speaks volumes here. However, I was absolutely disappointed by Germany. I thought they'd be more self-conscious. Instead, no flow, no real creativity (apart from Ballack's moment of genius) and all three strikers were poor today. Gomez with the miss of the tournament, Klose almost non-existent only Podolski had a few good moments. That's about it. Germany won't win the trophy because they lack coherence and squad depth.

CKB Posted 17 June 2008 Posted 17 June 2008 Austria gave it there all, but just a lack of quality was there downfall! I'm proud of what they did in this tournament, effort, passion and commitment can not be faulted at all! pity we just didn't have the quality!
