goal scoring music

As long as it's not Chelsea Dagger, it's so generic and every other club seems to use it. How about the Radio Leicester goal horn?!

Please no.

And most teams in League One use Tom Hark.

So we'd be at least slightly individual.

Seriously though, I don't think we should have any music after goals. I just hate the idea that fans need a musical incentive to chant and jump about after their team's scored. It's all a bit too Americanised for my liking...

Yeah mate it's been said before that it's americanised. But the sound of what....14? 15 thousand people? Won't be spectacular will it? I think we need some kind of music

It's just my opinion, and of course you're entitled to yours.

I really do despair. :nono:

Nahh i disagree there mate..

Why?

Same here. The atmosphere would be a bit shit without music, especially with the decrease in turnout next season.

Atmosphere would be shit without the music? Please. Go to an away game and tell me it is. Look at the away fans when they score and tell me it is. Complete horeshit.

No we would not be individual at all, it's part of the plastic club culture and one we should get shot of. It's embarrasing.

I don't really mind that much about the music. Anything apart from Chelsea Dagger is fine for me.

I'd prefer not to have music and let our fans make the noise but unfortunately that's not going to happen.

Seriously what the ****?

Have you ever celebrated a goal without dancing like a twat to Chelsea Dagger?

What at the Walkers :blink::giggle:

Why do we need any music? Does it make the goal better or more enjoyable? Just celebrating a goal without music is good enough. Maybe we can set the standard as the only club not to bow down to the Americanisation of our game. It was bad enough when we went all-seater.

Go for a pint or two before the game, sing for 90 minutes, celebrate the goals, get miserable at the failures, go home, watch the highlights or whatever, move on.

No to cheerleaders.

No to songsheets.

No to musical instruments

No to people wandering around with refreshments and programmes (go to a kiosk you lazy tosspots)

No to sponsors on every available space on the shirt (and shorts for fecks sake)

No to goal music.

No music, I detest it. It pisses me off so much when the away team score you can hear the away fans like a rocket, when I bet the music just drains the noise of us.

im sure this came up before but hey, what the hell... what to have? chelseaq dagger = NO

any suggestions??

i like the one at euro 08 seems quite good and atmospheric

The search feature down again? :(

That's the biggest piece of common sense I've read all year.

That comment deserves the Hallelujah music alone. If I find any of the League One clubs have got goal music, I'll know that football has sold out and it's time for a proud traditionalist like me to find something else to do with his life.

What a complete over reation.

I do sing, so dont try and give me a lecture on not singing. Soon as you try and start a song now days people turn round and look at you like your from another plannet. Seriously

Steady Ash. I think it's just a vague summary of how he sees football. Not a demand as such.

Agree with that. 3/4 of the ground want goal music anyway, because 3/4 never sing.

So many people look round when I stand and try and sing and give me a look as if to say, fook off.

If I want to dance like a willy puller to Chelsea Dagger, that's my decision. A 14k cheer petering out after 5 seconds would not be as quality to me, personally.

Well that's possibly the worst attempt at linking an argument I've ever read.

And you point out the embarrasing factor, but surely just cheering would emphasise how the stadium was only half full.

Which is embarrasing.

It really does show the attitude of the "modern fan". If you find celebrating your teams goal an embarrasment, I really do feel for you.

By the logic that 3/4 never sing, we should having music blasting out for the full 90 minutes to cover up our shameful lack of atmosphere then?

No, that's not my point.

I was agreeing with Ashley on that separate point of being given evils for trying to sing.

But if we don't allow people the opportunity to sing without being drowned out by music at a time when supporter passion is at an optimum level, i.e. after a goal, then how can we expect the atmosphere to ever improve? Granted, it is horrible trying to get a chant going in that stadium but trying to cover up the problem with loud music is surely not the answer?

Posted
Does not singing make you a lower level of fan?

No, it doesn't.

But people who get pissed off with others singing pisses me off.

Goal music just helps take the piss more, it pisses the away fans off, and imo makes more of an atmosphere.

But that's it, an opinion. I'm not saying anyone who doesn't agree isn't a fan.

Im saying, this is my opinion.

I'm not actually the only one.
