Why Stearman left.

I don't understand the fuss about Stearman. He was a novice centre-back pushed out to right-back and he was fairly crap at that role with a lack of pace and inability to cross. The 'one trick pony' turns that he did four times a game fooled no-one and getting over a million for him is the best bit of business we'll do this summer (short of getting rid of Maybury and hayles).

He was offered a contract earlier this season but his agent said they wouldn't even look at it until City's situation was settled. Maybe for the first time in a few years we'll be able to buy an ACTUAL right back and not a utility man now.

Yeah i agree with you mate. A lot of fans were very criticle of stearman last season and to get well over a Mil for him i think it was excellent business because i cant see him making a prem player.

Having spotted Stearman in the gym this afternoon (well, he wasn't actually in the gym, he was in the bar area filling his face, to be honest), the real reason for him going is that he would not be able to stand the next few months with people laughing at his OTT highlights. Tabou would be impressed.

I'm not sure Leicester City would necesssarily be the best place to prepare a player for Premiership football in recent seasons.

I remember Leeds complaining that Sheehan wasn't fit when he first arrived there and that they had to withdraw him from the team and spend some time getting him to full match sharpness before being much happier with his performance later.

With Stearman his passing has so often let him down - both in terms of choice and execution. But does anyone seriously believe that a guy with his skill can't pass and cannot be taught to make better choices?

At Wolves there'll be much more movement around him and far more players making themselves available for a pass whereas, at City, one of the features of our team was the lack of movement and the continual presence in the side of some woeful passers.

If Stearman can finish player of the season in a poor side I'm damned sure he can improve considerably in a good one, given chance.

Now he's gone it might be interesting to see if the otherwise promising James Chambers can improve his own passing. It's held him back long enough and surely he could have no more incentive to work on the weakness than winning a starting place in a team which may well be young enough to keep goving forward for some seasons.

Anyone know if or how he played in Wolves 1-0 loss to Wrexham yesterday?!

I would love it if Wolves go down (Doubt it'd happen but stranger things have happened) after I have been taking the piss out of the Wolves fans I know laughing at them for buying the lazy, over payed, can't be arsed Stearman, I have told them when he wants to and when he can be bothered he's good and has alot of potential, I've also told them they'd better hope he does want to play, play well, and can be bothered all the time else he's a shite signing. I've also took the piss and was laughing at them about the rumours of Clemence and Howard but seeing as it's all gone quite I doubt those transfers are going to happen. If they sign more of our players it'll actually give them something half decent to moan about, rather than moaning there in 6 place with "premiership players", "England quality players", "Players capable of playing for the big 4"...There cracked them Wolves fans. :nono:
