Nod.E Posted 25 June 2008 Posted 25 June 2008 Not sure if it's been mentioned... On his bebo he has said that the manager and chairman made no effort to keep him or to agree a new contract - he had no choice.

Bol locks! He went because of the dosh and because he doesn't want to play League One. He's off, he's another who's only loyal to the biggest wallet.
knowitall Posted 25 June 2008 Posted 25 June 2008 Yes he told me they made no real effort to keep him. What this means I dont know
Nod.E Posted 25 June 2008 Author Posted 25 June 2008 Richard Stearman:-seems i getting loads hate mail thought would let you know i was up on my contract and leicester manager and chairman made no effort to keep me at the club!
Nod.E Posted 25 June 2008 Author Posted 25 June 2008 Bol locks! He went because of the dosh and because he doesn't want to play League One. He's off, he's another who's only loyal to the biggest wallet. If his club don't try to keep him he's not gonna stay here when he's been offered a contract at Wolves is he? And apparantly we didn't offer him a contract too.
Leicester_Mad Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 If his contract was up he would have left on a free....or at least it would have gone to a tribunal Dont blame the lad for going, fair play he doesn't want to play League 1 football - i wouldn't if i was trying to break through the England setup

Guest Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 Turning this around, shouldn't Stearman himself be making an effort to warrant a new deal being offered to him in the first place? He was already contracted to City, if he really didn't want to go, he didn't have to. He just saw the £ signs flashing and an easy way out of League 1, and took it. He is no different to many other footballers. But if you think about it, wouldn't you, in your own jobs?
Nationwider Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 I imagine "no real effort" translates to "would not improve my current deal or talk extensions". Not really surprising considering we're in League One. It's a good deal for City, and some vindication that our youth set-up can identify, develop and profit from new talent. He's gone to further his career, good luck to him.
dandannieldanok Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 Not sure if it's been mentioned...On his bebo he has said that the manager and chairman made no effort to keep him or to agree a new contract - he had no choice. What a cop out, I don't believe he should have to justify himself in the first place but that is complete rubbish.
sotonfox Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 Which "manager" is he talking about? As far as I was aware we haven't had one for weeks!!!
Cal Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 Which "manager" is he talking about? As far as I was aware we haven't had one for weeks!!! Pearson.
Darkzzz_ Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 It is bollocks... He does not care, look at what he said to the local paper there, I am looking forward to working with the gaffer etc etc... Lee Hoos said that Stearman and his agent did not want to discuss a new deal!! Last night pissed me off, there are a few city fans saying on his myspace page " Stearz you will always be a City Legend" fook off!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dr The Singh Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 Bollox, the chairman claearly stated that hiom and his reps were not interested in negotioting due to our league position!!
Rocky Dennis Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 Good riddance to the skinny little shithead! Go and kiss the Wolves badge now you little twat. Why all the love for this lad i'll never know? Its party his fault we're in League 1 anyway, with his fookin pointless Cruyff turns and hoofs up the line! Maybe he'll get a bigger Porsche now, I for one know if I played for City Id never want to leave, the tears and emotion at the end of the last home game and then promptly moving to Wolves shows him up as just another dis-loyal money grabbing dick head footballer, not the hero born and bred City Legend blah blah blah!! Im over the moon he's gone-he's shit anyway.
GLC Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 It is bollocks...Last night pissed me off, there are a few city fans saying on his myspace page " Stearz you will always be a City Legend" fook off!!!!!!!!!!!! hes not a legend any legend would haev stayed at the club, like muzzy did and matt elliot etc fook him, he can play for his home town lub now! cant wait for his return to the walkers fookin tw-at
Suffolk_fox Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 We didn't have to offer him another contract, he still had a year to go. I think all the name calling from people is a bit OTT, as I would go to another place for better money. Legend? Dunno. Again, he was part of our 'Average' squad, they should have played in John Major Grey...
Bellend Sebastian Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 He's getting hate mail? The world has gone mad. It's not as if he was even THAT popular. Have people really got nothing better to do with their time? It's football, players get bought and sold, come and go. If people get upset at that they must find life in general very hard indeed
The People's Hero Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 Hate mail? I reckon he's making it up to look important.
Master Fox Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 Not sure if it's been mentioned...On his bebo he has said that the manager and chairman made no effort to keep him or to agree a new contract - he had no choice. What is it with teenage/early 20's Leicester fans sniffing around sh*t Leicester players Facebook and Beebo pages, like they want to fcuk them up the arse or something?
Vardinhio Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 Stearman deleted me as a friend on facebook when he moved!!!!!!!
Master Fox Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 Stearman deleted me as a friend on facebook when he moved!!!!!!! And with that, a chance at anal love
