Ozwin Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 Watched it for the first time last night and am still thinking about it now. It's probably up there with my favourite films ever as it played with your emotions all the way through. Scarlotte Johansson was stunningly beautiful in it and her role was played to perfection and Bill Murray, oh Bill Murry, he was unbelievably good. I want to meet someone like Charlotte (SJ's character) she seemed so nice. Films shouldn't toy with me like this.
Libertine Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 My favourite film of all time. Completely agree with all your points too.
Finnegan Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 Funny how a film with a wonderful sentiment about finding people wherever you are, can make you feel so, so lonely. T'is great though.

Finnegan Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 Let's be fair. It is one of the best opening shots of film history.
Daggers Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 Let's be fair. It is one of the best opening shots of film history. ...and then there was My Bloody Valentine
Webbo Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 I watched it and honestly I really didn't get it! Me neither. That should be in the best view in the world thread.
Daggers Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 Me neither. I watched it while living abroad and it really resonated with me - a magisterial sojourn into the soul of an ex-pat, isolated by language and custom. Really quite special.
Flynny Posted 27 June 2008 Posted 27 June 2008 ...and then there was My Bloody Valentine Lets not leave J&MC out of this. One of my favourite films and all, Scarlet Johansson is absolutely beautiful and Bill Murray is my hero.

Head Honcho Posted 27 June 2008 Posted 27 June 2008 Let's be fair. It is one of the best opening shots of film history. What! Better then Apocalypse Now?
Finnegan Posted 27 June 2008 Posted 27 June 2008 What! Better then Apocalypse Now? Scarlet Johansson's ass isn't in Apocalypse Now.
Fox You Forest Posted 28 June 2008 Posted 28 June 2008 Great film, I remember watching a program on Sky One/Two or Three a little while back about film endings. They were trying to figure out what he said to her at the end as sad as i am i Googled it yesterday and found this on Youtube. Not sure if it's to be believed or not.
