Interesting. Not bad considering we were piss poor.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 Not bad at all, though I thought we would be further up the list. At least were ahead of Southampton
billyfox1 Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 what was the average for league 1? don't suppose we get many tickets with grounds being so small
dandannieldanok Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 That's pretty good from our fans, Cov are below Burnley
Basingstoke Fox Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 Fair play to the Sheffield Wednesday fans by the way, its always nice to see good support from the teams who are in and around where we were.
Floating Fox Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 Never thought we'd be up there, our away support for the majority was piss poor. I think the last few would have shot up the average though. On a worse note, Forest had a larger travelling support
SamL Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 That's pretty good. Most of the season our away end looked half empty. I think our average shot up with huge followings at Coventry and Barnsley.
DB11 Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 Not bad at all, though I thought we would be further up the list. I thought that we would be too
SamL Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 I thought that we would be too Considering the teams above us were fighting for promotion, its a decent effort.
Ashley Posted 26 June 2008 Author Posted 26 June 2008 That's pretty good. Most of the season our away end looked half empty. I think our average shot up with huge followings at Coventry and Barnsley. Plus Forest, Villa, Chelsea if cup comps count?
Floating Fox Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 Plus Forest, Villa, Chelsea if cup comps count? Cup games don't count, else Cardiffs would be just a lil' bit higher
Fez of Mahrez Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 Cup games don't count, else Cardiffs would be just a lil' bit higher Literally a little bit higher seeing as the FA Cup Semi-Final and Final are both played at a neutral venue and would not be classed as an away game for either club. Bring it.
Neil_LCFC Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 Not surprised Forest's average away support was more considering they were near the top all season & winning most away games !
pat69 Posted 27 June 2008 Posted 27 June 2008 what was the average for league 1? don't suppose we get many tickets with grounds being so small Leeds 2258 Nottm Forest 1528 Swansea 1085 Doncaster 911 Carlisle 819 Bristol Rovers 741 Brighton 718 Swindon 698 Southend 694 Leyton Orient 623 Oldham 578 Millwall 570 Walsall 564 Huddersfield 534 Northampton 532 Tranmere 515 Luton 503 Hartlepool 488 Yeovil 403 Bournemouth 400 Gillingham 385 Port Vale 320 Crewe 305 Cheltenham 294
Unit Posted 27 June 2008 Posted 27 June 2008 does that include the forest and chelsea games? I reckon they'd boost the ****er up a lot

RedHux Posted 29 June 2008 Posted 29 June 2008 Quite pleased with that from our chaps. Especially considering we were largely shocking away from home for most of the year.
foxaholic Posted 30 June 2008 Posted 30 June 2008 Quite pleased with that from our chaps. Especially considering we were largely shocking away from home for most of the year. Better away than at home if you include cups we were probablly in topp 3 for away support
act smiley Posted 30 June 2008 Posted 30 June 2008 Yeah, but no matter how you dress it up, 6000 or whatever at Chelsea then 500 at the weekend at Colchester does suck.
Tommeh Posted 30 June 2008 Posted 30 June 2008 Yeah, but no matter how you dress it up, 6000 or whatever at Chelsea then 500 at the weekend at Colchester does suck. Although it was on sky at 5:15 at one of the worst gounds in the country let alone the league. But tbh I agree was very annoying from our fans that. And for a genine day out laughs, etc. colchester was better.
