Daggers Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 Not sure why! There were plenty of dogs in Sutton Park last time I was there! :D The wife is onto her lawyer as I type. She's not happy about that. Not happy at all.

Thracian Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 haha the Grantham Journal, what a paper. Yes, came across one of those once - in the loos of the Red Lion at Newton.
AmericanScott Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 My mother featured in the Merucry the other week in relation to some Beatles memorabilia. I like the Merucry and how it classes articles such as "Boy finds a penny" as breaking news.
potter3 Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 WHY BUY MERCURY?????Free Mercury http://www.thebluearmy.co.uk/details.asp?b...6269754|p|536|0
Katy Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 Best not read this then.Sadly seemingly no longer on the Mercury website, but thank goodness for our friends at Metro: http://www.metro.co.uk/news/article.html?i...p;in_page_id=34 Perhaps a little too much information towards the end of that article. Did they really need to print the poor sod's picture? I'm surprised we don't get opposition fans singing about this Oh god, I thought this was a throw away comment but it's true I feel violated after reading that
Jay Posted 5 July 2008 Posted 5 July 2008 I've read the Grantham Journal on many an occasion. Awful, just awful! BUT without it how would I know whats going down in South Kesteven? I mean such stunning news stories from this week include... Book of hymns found in car park Ambulance called after woman falls Shed fire in Dysart Road Straw bales spontaneously combust UFO watches over Roman soldiers (UFO spotted in Ancaster) They may well sound like news stories from the day today but they all appear on the journal website

I saw it, but it is not a UFO although my dad did say "Look a UFO", it was in fact a chinook I think.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 5 July 2008 Posted 5 July 2008 Oh god, I thought this was a throw away comment but it's true I feel violated after reading that They also published a story in about 1992 about a bloke dying after supposedly falling on a broom that went up his arse

Well I would think you are probably right, as RAF Cranwell is like 6 miles away from Ancaster their is more chance of it being a Chinook than Visitors from another galaxy checking out Roman day!!! check out the dedicated UFO section on the website how sad is that!!!

Bellend Sebastian Posted 6 July 2008 Posted 6 July 2008 You know far too much about these stories my friend. What can I say? I'm strangely drawn to them. A part of my psyche has clearly never grown up
Guest Bilo Posted 6 July 2008 Posted 6 July 2008 I read the Mercury because how else would I know about stuff like that bloke from Beaumont Leys being convicted for allowing his dogs to do him up the bum?The Sports letters are brilliant though. They're even more demented than the posts on here. I think it's ace that people can actually be bothered to send a one line message to the Mercury that says 'We haven't been the same since O'Neill left' or 'I am not impressed by Nigel Pearson' and the only thing better is that the Mercury will actually print their inane ramblings in the pages of a newspaper that people buy for REAL MONEY
