Alexikokopops Posted 11 July 2008 Posted 11 July 2008 It's not a repeat is it? I don't post very much anymore I hate repeats so much. Nah. It was bloody brilliant though.
smokey Posted 11 July 2008 Posted 11 July 2008 Looks like we might need him - Mattock to go to West Ham, reckons the Timeshttp://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/foo...icle4312707.ece I hope Mattock stays but if he does go we need a left back urgent because Gilbert is a right back who can fill in at left back, we dont want him there permanant.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 11 July 2008 Posted 11 July 2008 If we're playing one of them at left-back, I hope it isn't Chambers. We've messed him about enough already. Yup. Reckon Chambers would be the best RB in this division, but my worry is concerning whether or not he'll be played. Have to admire his patience having been punted around.
Flynny Posted 11 July 2008 Posted 11 July 2008 A young lad with potential and something to prove. As much as I'd agree with that 99 times out of 100, considering we'll almost certainly lose him again at the end of the season, especially if he does start to realise his potential, i don't see it as particularly important. So long as he's good enough already and not creaking and immobile like, say, Clapham, I'm fine.

thybluefox Posted 11 July 2008 Posted 11 July 2008 Tbh, competition for place in the first 11 will do all the players good. If they don't have the attitude to fight for a place, they'll have to sit on the bench, simple as. End of the day, whats best for the club is more important than whats best for a single player. If Gilbert can perform better than Chambers on the right, then why start Chambers?

If we go up this season and he likes it here there's no reason we couldn't/wouldn't sign him.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 11 July 2008 Posted 11 July 2008 I reckon it was him I saw at the Walkers last Thursday.
