dog_4 Posted 10 July 2008 Posted 10 July 2008 i'm liking the idea of mattock and dyer on the left with gilbert and gradel on the right, very tasty
Spiritwalker Posted 10 July 2008 Posted 10 July 2008 Not to sure about this one, I know he's only 21 but he looks like he's been going backwards Arsenal Cardif Southend I would really like to see 1 quality striker come in soon.
Ozwin Posted 10 July 2008 Posted 10 July 2008 This is the only signing so far I'm not sure about. You can tell from his photo he's a cocky bastard.
dog_4 Posted 10 July 2008 Posted 10 July 2008 if he was rubbish though, surely would of been released by arsenal. I'm happy with this signing. I'll have an orgasm if we signed jerome is well
Stevosevic Posted 10 July 2008 Posted 10 July 2008 if he was rubbish though, surely would of been released by arsenal. I'm happy with this signing. I'll have an orgasm if we signed jerome is well

I think there's some mileage in what you've said there dog_4, Arsenal sign on a lot of youngsters and discard just as many each year, but if their willing to hold onto the lad (even for another half season or so, just for keeping an eye as to his progress) and go the loan route then theres some value in him. Can't say I know anything about this lad, but if Mr. P recommends him then he's aware of the temperament and thinks he can grip it; and if he really is a tough tackling hungary player then great ... just what we'll need to survive in L1, but he'll quickly have to learn about referees of the likes of Trev Kettle who will send him off at the merest whiff of dissent if he arrives with a bad atitude and rap sheet ... alot of the league 1 ref's are keen to progress to the Championship, and that means alot of FA assessors and making positive strong decisions! (right or wrong!!!) Here's hoping he's as good as he sounds in the press ... he's got something to prove I'd say?
Father Ted Posted 10 July 2008 Posted 10 July 2008 i'm liking the idea of mattock and dyer on the left with gilbert and gradel on the right, very tasty And Adams and Oakley in the middle - the future is looking bright!
Calum McDermott Posted 10 July 2008 Posted 10 July 2008 not really heard of him before but sounds a great addition, i am starting to get excited now about the new season, lots of promising young players, if they all live up to the hype and play well as a team we are gunna rip this league apart!!! - call me optimistic! Dont be optimistic with leicester!!! Every year people are like oh we are definitely going to go up!
Nod.E Posted 10 July 2008 Posted 10 July 2008 not really heard of him before but sounds a great addition, i am starting to get excited now about the new season, lots of promising young players, if they all live up to the hype and play well as a team we are gunna rip this league apart!!! - call me optimistic! You're optimistic. Why, because he's at Arsenal? The last time he played properly was for Southend and he was dropped then due to poor form. Seems to me it's just another one at Arsenal that hasn't made it and doesn't fit in with Wenger's policy. I'll give him a chance though. You already didn't?
samlcfc1 Posted 10 July 2008 Posted 10 July 2008 Is his name pronnounced Kerr-e or Ker-e-a? His given name is pronounced /ˈkɛri/ "Kerry".
Jimmy Posted 10 July 2008 Posted 10 July 2008 Is his name pronnounced Kerr-e or Ker-e-a? its pronounced Kerry
act smiley Posted 10 July 2008 Posted 10 July 2008 Really? Bloody hell. I heard it said on many an occasion on local news when he was on loan to Cardiff and a few other times and I never heard it said like that. I knew local journo's were bad, I didn't know they were that bad
Cobbo Posted 10 July 2008 Posted 10 July 2008 its pronounced Kerry Really? Bloody hell. I heard it said on many an occasion on local news when he was on loan to Cardiff and a few other times and I never heard it said like that. I knew local journo's were bad, I didn't know they were that bad You just can't say Ka-ree-a can you?
Milky Posted 10 July 2008 Posted 10 July 2008 It is Kerry. My bro played against him once, and they all called him Kerry.
Lillehamring Posted 10 July 2008 Posted 10 July 2008 Thanks for that conclusion. Why, because he's at Arsenal? The last time he played properly was for Southend and he was dropped then due to poor form. Seems to me it's just another one at Arsenal that hasn't made it and doesn't fit in with Wenger's policy. I'll give him a chance though. um, thanks for that conclusion...
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 10 July 2008 Posted 10 July 2008 I seem to remember an article about him 3-4 years ago and there were huge raps on him. I must admit i have seen him play since then but i guess if his not performing he will be dropped or sent back.
Unabomber Posted 10 July 2008 Posted 10 July 2008 I just hope Chambers doesn't get frozen out again. Ditto, I think that Chambers has been really professional and worked hard even when he has been shut out to the reserves. I think that he will be a more than an adequate RB in League 1.
Bert Posted 10 July 2008 Posted 10 July 2008 He looks like a mixture of Micah Richards, Effan Ekoku and Carl Cort. I'm delighted to be here and would like to thank the manager for giving me the chance to impress and play regular first-team football. This, is key though. It seems as if he's been promised Regular football.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 11 July 2008 Posted 11 July 2008 He looks like a mixture of Micah Richards, Effan Ekoku and Carl Cort.
Manderic's pants Posted 11 July 2008 Posted 11 July 2008 Looks like we might need him - Mattock to go to West Ham, reckons the Times http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/foo...icle4312707.ece
Hackneyisblue Posted 11 July 2008 Posted 11 July 2008 This is the only signing so far I'm not sure about. You can tell from his photo he's a cocky bastard. And do you judge a book by the cover? I do, I can't read
Flynny Posted 11 July 2008 Posted 11 July 2008 If we're playing one of them at left-back, I hope it isn't Chambers. We've messed him about enough already.
bigneville Posted 11 July 2008 Posted 11 July 2008 Looks like i was right then :D Good signing IMO. Completely agree. A young lad with potential and something to prove. Although I do like James Chambers, it could be an interesting battle for the right back slot. Competition for places is never a bad thing though.
