First time I've seen us this season and we looked good stand out players were Fryatt, Hobbs and Adams with Kishishev, Campbell and Gradel looking good when they came on. And the streakers were comical as was the stewarding
Simi Posted 26 July 2008 Posted 26 July 2008 Just got back after an absolute shocker in town when my train got cancelled. I've seen all the pre-season games this season and that was by far the best. Thought we looked after the ball very well, especially Weso during the first half. Nicky Adams played well and can't argue with two goals. Although I thought we looked a lot more threatening generally when Gradel came on as he's so direct and did worry their fullback when he was cutting inside. Defence could still be a worry, hopefully Tunchev can live up to the hype and look after whoever plays with him, I'm guessing Hobbs who looked calm today and did well. Unlike Morrison who seemed under a lot of pressure and looked nervous. As for the strikers, DJ and Fryatt stand out. Howard won a bit in the air but other than that not much. Would like to see DJ with someone other than Howard, because I don't think he likes playing with him. Business end of pre-season now where we need to start to sort our final team out, hope we can do that and embed Tunchev. Special shout for Tom Moore. Straight Outta Turkey then onto Kettering. Top marks. You should apply for the job as the new photographer! They are good shots though mate! Nobody can replace Jimmy Bullard.

Before the game, the big coloured steward come in on his own to take the streaker out, resulted in him being pushed about, then he ran out.

To be honest the players looked in great shape. Matty has certainly picked some pace up from somewhere.... I really like what I have seen from big Nige so far.... Hope it pays off.

Nope - subbed, but what he did was confident and composed enough...Morrison on the other hand is looking ropey and needs pointers as he was easily beaten in the air and on the floor. Second time I've seen him now and I'm not convinced. Good game for Weso mind you, definitely arguing for a starting spot on today's performance.
Joe. Posted 26 July 2008 Posted 26 July 2008 That's what's so likeable about Weso. He's certainly one of those players who tries his absolute best for the team whatever the game, be it friendly or competitive. It's players like him that we want playing for Leicester City next season.

Like someone said Morrison looked a bit nervous however i think he won a fair bit in the and i thought Hobbs had a good steady game. Mattock looked good went on one great run which would of been amazing if he scored. Nice to see Logan back in goal thought he did alright with not a lot to do. Streakers were funny made their stewards look pathetic. Although i thought the inbred songs were a bit uncalled for but oh well.
