Stevosevic Posted 1 August 2008 Posted 1 August 2008 I would just like to pay tribute to this guy, he's fantastic and hope he has a great day tomorrow. Growing up, he was one of my favourite players and still is. His professional attitute and deadly finishing skills made him the perfect role model for all young strikers. Never would he sulk or moan for being on the bench, he would just think about making an impact when he was bought on, he certainly did most of the time. He's also a great man and i can see why Ferguson has kept him around the training ground, he's very highly thought of and many expect him to become a great manager. I would love to see that. Manchester United are certainly not my favourite club, but his presence made them a little more bearable and he certainly gave me some memories as a child, he was always the player i pretended to be in the playground and in the park. I always hoped that some day Leicester could sign him, but it seemed he was destined to finish at Manchester United. Good Luck Ole!
Houdini Logic Posted 1 August 2008 Posted 1 August 2008 Could have went to 99% of teams in the world, but decided to stay as a Bench Warmer Super Sub. Top class Player
Bryn Posted 1 August 2008 Posted 1 August 2008 Already reserve team manager at Man Utd, looks like he's going to have a pretty successful coaching career. Great player.
billyfox1 Posted 1 August 2008 Posted 1 August 2008 Great Player. If only there were a few more as loyal as him
purpleronnie Posted 1 August 2008 Posted 1 August 2008 Its easy being loyal to one of the biggest teams in the world, who we're happy to pay him big bucks. But he was a very good player.
Ashley Posted 1 August 2008 Posted 1 August 2008 I know someone who's got tickets for this, should be good.
Ultra Posted 3 August 2008 Posted 3 August 2008 He also gave away the proceeds from the game, to set up schools in Africa. A top man, as well as a top striker! I hope some of the overpaid fcukwits in the game (including some not so far away from OT) take note.
Sparky Posted 3 August 2008 Posted 3 August 2008 For me along with Fowler the greatest out and out finisher the Premiership has ever seen
